YAME64 suite
-
First of all I want to thank the developers of the YAME64 suit for this great program. Special thanks for Focaldesign for helping me to understand YAME64 better.
I am using the moving map a lot, it really helps me with my SA. At this moment the Korea and Balkans map is 2048x2048. Will it be possible to use the 4096x4096 version of the Korea map in the near future?Keep up the good work.
Eagleeyes
You’re welcome!
As -Ice said, higher res maps will be possible in the coming release.
By the way, still need to test our new RC but it contains your feature request to be possible to set tje map page as default start page instead of the data page. Be adviced though, only data page is available when emergebcy bus power is available. Other pages only available when non esessential bus is Powered. -
thanks Focaldesign,
the culprit is indeed window aeroglass.
now after turning it on, it seems to work.however, I get a lot of “BMS stopped working” appcrash quite often, and sometimes the extraction does not work, I get blank MFD instead.
If that happens, I have to restart the computer to make it works again.
are there some setting to make yame works better?
please advise.my system is i3 o/c to 4ghz.
8gb ram
gtx 970
win 7/64.No ideas come to mind for now, sorry mate.

win 7/64.BMS runs fine without YAME?
Do you use the hook for the textures? -
BMS runs fine, I never see “BMS stopped working” before yame.
No, I do not use hook. -
Can you not use a stylus? Or as Focal suggested, make it so that your tablet is seen as an extra monitor and you can configure it from your Windows PC.
Stylus to do what? To resize i need a mouse wheel And using airdisplay etc is counterintuitive when i can just be a yame client.

Sorry but I still don’t understand the problem. You say the tablet is an extension of your monitor, so you can just move your pc mouse onto the tablet screen and do everything you need.

Well, you can manually input the sizes of the gauges in YAME, so there’s that method….
-
Another option: you know the resolution of the tablet screen. On server pc make the window you will later want on the tablet. Make it the correct size, set the gauges etc how you want. Then save that layout. Copy the layout xml you saved onto the layout folder of the tablet client and open it there.
In the next version autostart with parameters can be used, so then you could have a shortcut on the tablet that will open yame, load the correct layout, start the client and minimise the UI all at one click.
-
I never said it’s an extension! Why??? I use server/client over lan.

that’s what i’ve done. But i can’t exit Fullscreen Yame ‘window’ without connecting a keyboard (to use hotkey). No other way to switch out of it barring manipulations with windows key… I guess you didn’t understood my original problem…
With MFDE i just add instruments which i want on ‘client’ machine, then drag them around/resize withIN a desktop (not fulscreen) with a finger easily. Also those windows cover the taskbar (yame’s windowed window won’t)…

Because here I talked about most people using it over wifi as an extended monitor and you replied you also did with wifi, hence the misunderstanding.
That’s also why I said here & here I didn’t fully understand the problem…
Using server & client over LAN makes it a lot more clearer.that’s what i’ve done. But i can’t exit Fullscreen Yame ‘window’ without connecting a keyboard (to use hotkey). No other way to switch out of it barring manipulations with windows key… I guess you didn’t understood my original problem…
Correct, misunderstood the original problem.
Doesn’t your tablet have a built in software keyboard? Like you see on the iPad. It comes from the bottom.
Another workaround would be to connect a small bluetooth keyboard. With MFDE i just add instruments which i want on ‘client’ machine, then drag them around/resize withIN a desktop (not fulscreen) with a finger easily. Also those windows cover the taskbar (yame’s windowed window won’t)….
MFDE works in a totally different way as YAME, so not possible I’m afraid.
If it’s Windows, a workaround could be to set the entire menu/taskbar to autohide? That’s an option on a regular desktop, don’t know if that’s available for Windows tablets.Still, I recommend a simple 10.4" vga screen for a second screen, or make a tablet a secondary monitor. Takes away a lot of issues

Yup, just some misunderstandings
Yes, you got my problem exactly.
Ok, i can live without windowed mode.
But with fullscreen window the taskbar is invisible and on my tablet the softkeyboard is called using the taskbar icon
icon or something along those lines to the fullscreen yame window, so clicking it will get me back to desktop. I guess that is a reasonable request
Going to test hook vs sharedmem with yame shortly and post the results as well.
Thanks!!!ps. yup, two small vgas are planned for mfds.

Sorry for the question, but maybe I lost something: the “close problem” is in edit gauge mode? Or when running client?
-
Client running using ‘fullscreen’ ‘window’. Can’t close it (back to desktop) without connecting a keyboard.

the problem with adding a closing button is that it takes up room you can’t use for gauges. I have stuff packed into my entire screen and need every inch I can get

you can use right click menu like in the edit gauge also in to the running client with the option “exit”. This could be performed also in the tablet pc since each tablet implements the right click via touch screen (e.g.: long press or double finger press)
-
There’s already a version WIP that has the entire pit with clickable switches for YAME. got to go now but will try to find it back for you asap.
I even started on an MLU version too, but never got around to finish it.Don’t forget me… may be i can help you with WIP version
-
Good point, will take that into possible roadmap.

Off to try that! Thanks!!! Long tap on my tab is right click.
EDIT: Nnnope, long tap registers, but produces no menu when client with ‘fullscreen window’ is running. It does in edit gauge mode.

There is no right mouse button functionality for now. Maybe we can add in our todo list

I’m trying ICP panel via browser and it doesn’t work…
I can load it into the browser, if i press a button i can see in Firebug that the message is sent to key server and it answer OK (status 200) but doesn’t happen on Falcon if i put this URL in address bar http://<my ip=“”>:8080/SendCommand?command= <callback>it works fine.
What is wrong?</callback></my>
