Youtuber learning Falcon 4 BMS

Reading the BMS training tutorial i found a clue that could be an explanation. I did not TMS down/Wide field/Curser Zero to cancel any curser slew. I did not slew the curser, but there might be a slew by the system, because i activated TGP before WP6. I try this and report tomorrow.
edit:
I followed your advide and avoided to switch between bms and the desktop (PDF). Now the TGP locked on target steerpoint, but after some time the crosshairs moved slowly away so it looses the lock (maybe movement of the joystick or the other devices are cause for slewing?). I depressed OSB CZ and the TGP locked on again for a moment, but does not stay there.
I’m done and fed up with this for the moment :blowpar:
Moving on to another TR-TE…mhh …better fly DCS Viggen to have some fun
Best Regards and THX

OK,mission accomplished 3x…
I’m not sure why I was successful in the end, but i changed the order of execution intensionally (for example i set up the laser-mode first). I also made as little joystick input as possible, because it is obvious that abrupt steering could harm the target system. The result was, the target was marked properly and constantly, and good hits… -
Good to hear you got it working in the end.

I hope it is not too off topic to describe another problem here…
I’ve planned a TE that starts with a ramp start. The flight path has 9 waypoints and 2 target-waypoints stored in the DTC. After the machine is started, the DTC is loaded and the INS is aligned (?), I have the following problems.1. The HSD does not display the flight path.
2. The HUD does not display either the FPM, the pitch scale, the heading tape, or the roll indicator. Also not when I switch the buttons on the HUD panel. Only the altitude and the airspeed scale are visible. When the TE is started on the runway, everything is as it should be. What could be wrong?

Check the “RDY” status on DED and ensure your IRS in set on NAV mode before takeoff …

ensure your IRS in set on NAV mode before takeoff …
That possible might raise more questions…… [emoji6]
But Dee-Jay is right of course, did you align the INS and switch it to NAV before takeoff?

…it is just as simple as you say
I thought the INS was aligned, but it was not after this: I must have switched the knob back to the off-position, before set it to NAV where it belongs to. But i did not start the alignment again. I must have made this silly mistake more than once…
Thank you mates!Best Regads
LOOPusbtw: it was great fun and satisfying to fly my first selfmade TE! It took some time to get the plane in the air (hello ATC…! ). But the flight was a dream. Destroyed two radar-sites with JDAM, rtb in bad weather conditions and landed in beautiful twilight.

Hello, it is me again!
Unfortunately Bullseye ist not my current problem… I thought AGM 65D are fun and easy, but so far they are definitely not. There a two issues
1.
after boresighting the weapon,SOI TGP
center Target (Ship)
TMS Down,
TMS UP
the TGP fails to handoff (“growing” box) or is often very slow/delayed.
Something wrong?2.
The handoff at stations 3 and 7 is complete, but I can not permanently delete the failure list. The list reappears after a short time.
:dhorse:
(I swear to follow the tutorial exactly )Best regards

I would recommend following the quick boresighting tutorial.
-
The mavericks need a lot of time to learn and understand. Yesterday i was surprised about boresighting and handoff can be completed without any failure. no cautionlight, no errorlist. So i got one Shilka, before the SAMs got me…

Added the first of a series of videos on the Up Front Controls:

Mavericks take a lot of practice. Make sure the cross is not blinking and is inside the keyhole when you fire. Take your time or you’ll waste them.

Yes, i build my own maverick-mission and checked the AGM 65D/G checklist. There is one important difference to supanovas video. After boresighting all weapons (boresighting first weapon, then next weapon/station) one can handoff all mavericks together in one step. Doing it this way i never get a failure warning after handoff.

Thanks for posting that AIFF video! I thought it was very informative and very well-produced. I love 1440p videos too, they look nice when full-screen-ed on my monitor.
