CCIP Cockpit Mod

I notice that the download includes normal and high textures and that there are 2 koreaObj files-KoreaObj and KoreaObj-HiRes. So my question is-do you use normal textures for KoreaObj and the high textures for KoreaObj-HiRes? Do you have to do both?

I cannot get this mod working in 3.33 Balkans Mod: I think that there isn’t any room in the object.lod?? Suggestions??
I haven’t tried to install this mod for Balkan theater, so I don’t know whether it works.
However, I remember that someone reported that the texture numbers are overlapped with Balkan’s installation.
You may need to edit the texture list in lod files.Hi PeCa_Chuck,
Have you try your Mod with update 3? On your own install?
PikaAFAIK, this mod works fine with 4.33 Update 3.

It’s completely up to you.
Personally, I haven’t use the Normal and High quality textures as switchable in that way, but it will work fine.
Basically, you don’t need to have both of them in same installation. -

I had no issues installing it on Balkans. I just followed the guide and everything went good.

The instructions state: For seeing entry example, launch another LOD Editor. There is no problem for launching second .exe of LOD Editor, so don’t worry. Once the second LOD Editor has been launched, enter 1 to the next field of Normal button, then click Normal button.
When you are doing it for the second time-using 2.lod-do you enter the number 2 and not 1 or does it matter?

Why not just create a JSGME Mod Installer package for that (1 click install and deinstall) ?
-
Because, I don’t need it.

Well, i did a clean install Balkan 3.33: I first added the cockipit mod, then other mods, (jan has models). I do not understand why, but now it works.

I wounder if Chuck plans to do a CCIP cockpit Block 40/42 with his surburb and truely awsome work brings life to F-16!

There is a limitation in adding Lod models. In Balkan i hit the border with 2.1. Adding Lod models above this , Falcon starts acting weird.

2.1 is what exactly?

I think he means the 2 GB LOD limit were game begins to crash

Version 6.0.4 has been released.
Change log and the URL for download are available in the first post.As you can see in the change log, it does include the edition for Block 40.
I would like to BIG thank PL_Harpoon for the permission to modify his Block 40/42 Hud.
Thankfully, he kindly gave it to me. I appreciate you, Harpoon!
And since I exclusively enjoy virtual flight in the Block 50, I would like to dedicate Block 40 edition for this community, including 8th VFW with respect!Installation guide is not ready yet, however I would say it does to come.
There are two different style of WAR HUD in the package.
The default texture DOES have reflection on the surface of combiner glass, and the optional texture DOES NOT have.
You can choose the style by interchanging texture number of 8115.w/o reflection (8115_No_Reflection.dds):
If you have already installed the previous version, please follow the following process for update.
Before the installation of this version, you must back up the number of parent records in 3dckpit.dat.
Open the 3dckpit.dat in your “Art” folder, and note the following line somewhere.cockpitmodel xxxx;
cockpitmodel2 xxxx;
cockpitmodel3 xxxx;
cockpithudmodel xxxx;
cockpitcanopymodel xxxx;Then, replace all of Block 50 lods, and overwrite the Data folder.
After the replacing and overwriting, re-open the 3dckpit.dat, and replace the “cockpit~” lines with noted one.

Hey Peca_Chuck.
Are you planning on updating the left and right side panels for the cockpit models……Avionics Panel, External Lighting Panel, AVTR Panel, Oxygen Panel needs to be moved…etc…?

No, because I don’t see any reason for doing that.

I tried it, but lost it…around second time going from step 4…I see now in version 6.05 there are 5 lod files, and in
Falcon BMS 4.33\Data\Art\ckptart\3dckpit.dat there are only3 cockpit model
…
// the LOD models to use.
cockpitmodel 1;
cockpitmodel2 2;
cockpitmodel3 3;
cockpithudmodel 4;
cockpitcanopymodel 5;so i am confused what to change when there are 5 lod files, and how can i have change for block 40 and block 50 at the same time
-
After doing all the dance with lod editor., adding new parent/lod model for blck 40.this is the result…and although i loaded f16 bck50 ingame it has hud from blck 40 and all the t3xtures are wrong
