New to Falcon BMS

More of less, same level (the F-16 being multi-role). But BMS has a weaker failure implementation level (more scripted than DCS so to say).
However … you will probably rapidly see the the strong point of BMS is its dynamic campaign and his ability to plunge you into the war … BMS has a higher level in the overall of the combat pilot’s job/work/environment.
Hi Dee-Jay, what do you mean by “weaker failure implementation level”? Is that the random system failure?
-
Is that the random system failure?
There is no random failure. (and if you hear about ramdom failure in BMS, know that it is only a Dev feature but not a realistic random failure generator)
In DCS, systems (circuits) are simulated. In BMS (core code is 20y old) failures need to be fully coded (cause en effects) leading sometime into some inconsistencies … such a an INS failure but still having the route on HAD page … or … having some HUD overlay moving with the “invisible” FPM. Hard to explain with my poor english …
-
OK, but systems are accurate simulated then.
-
-
Sure. But only on F-16.
Sorry, but I didnt catch that. There are other planes? Those are not fully simulated? Like the 18 and the carrier ops?

Ok, so if I grab the f18 it wont have fidelity?
-
Also, does it support multiple usb? I have a separate stick and throttle.

Welcome, it is a very fun sim.

In terms of avionics, no you won’t.
Flight model is pretty accurate and cockpit looks pretty. What Dee-Jay is saying is that the avionics, such as MFD pages, FCR, and how things function are still based on the F-16 systems. You can fly anything in the game–and there are a lot of pits developed and/or included for different aircraft, and several other flight models done more or less in line with how they should be, but everything is always based on the F-16 avionics.

Yes

, but everything is always based on the F-16 avionics.
In the future version, F-18 will have its own dedicated (and realistic) FLCS. Still no dedicated avionic though.

You have a very similar rig to mine. Check Vsync settings and/or Nvidia settings. If you have DSR on it may bog things down idk.
You should easily run max settings and get well over 60, maybe even 100+ fps
-
everything is default in nvidia, vsync on in game
-
-
I never touch nvidia panel, isnt there other way that is not lowering graphics?
-
Ingame, turn your Vsync off!!
C9

already done that, still 55 fps.
I run DCS at 180 fps at high settings so imagine my frustration here.
