Now I got it working, it was indeed the keyboard, a KeySonic with touchpad. Using a LogiLink keyboard the recording is done correctly. The right key in the drop down list is named CANCEL, but of course it is the BREAK or PAUSE key on the keyboard.
Thanks for support, I am lucky now. -
Hi.
Another problem just after updating to the actual LMC and Windows 10 updates . LMC now always forgets my mic button on my Warthog throttle (running without Target). When I start LMC the first time, there are several warnings about lost USB devices and now missing LLHotkeys. I never changed the USB ports of my HOTAS. I plug the Warthog off an on, then it is recognized and I can record the Dx2 button as Mic. I safe settings and close LMC. I restart LMC and I got another warning that an USB Device change occurred, what in fact never happened. Nothing helps, I even edited the Mic settings not to be bound to only one device. I have to record my Warthog button after every restart of LMC, and after restart or reboot of the PC I even must unplug plug my Warthog first. Whats wrong after the update?

Sorry, the LMC hotkey system got rewritten and these bugs surfaced with the rewrite.
I will investigate this. What do you mean by ‘you save settings and close LMC’ - did you save the profile again, too?
-
Yes, I saved profile and as standard auto load profile with settings, but of course I have always a backup for the case it gets damaged.
-
I tried to go back to version 160807, but it seems to conflict with any last Windows updates. I even turned firewall and anti virus off, but LMC does’t run, it always hast to be closed by Windows 10 because it STOPPED WOKING. This was, by the way, the reason I tried the newes LMC version, because the old version didn’t work anymore since a few days exactly after the last Windows updates. I can install 16807, click the license agreement and when I press CONTINUE LMC stops working.
-
to use older lmc versions with win10 try this:
open the lmc folder (from the menu/file/open lmc folder)
right click on the 4.5 MB LMC main file and select properties
click on the compatibility tab
check ‘run this program in compatibility mode for’
and select ‘windows 7’ from the listI hope it helps until an update is ready.

Thanks.
I got 170408 running now. New istall, make all hotkey settings first, exit, start LMC and hotkey still works, then at least I load profile with settings and this time it works, even auto load on restart. I avoid saving to profile and maybe thats the solution……but the USB device change still shows when the profile is loaded, although Warthog mic is working well. So I try not to change any settings now, my luck I did finish my profile for BMS and DCS the last time as all was working normal.edit: the install process didn’t accept my old license key and I wasted two keys still using the same PC, could you refill my account? I use the same ID as here.

Windblow (Wingedsky) had the same issue before.
You should be able to save your profile whenever needed.
First try ‘Save As’ and check by loading that one (with setttings) though!–-General Information—
Until the update comes: Always load old profiles without settings, then set hotkeys up and save it under a new name.
(Do not load a profile with its settings if it was not saved from the actual version before.)

I will try to update your account within 24 hrs.

Hi Livrot , any update coming soon ?

Hi.
I installed several new USB game controllers but one of them can
t be recorded as LL-Hotkey. No button of that device (Leobodnar USB interface) shows up in LMC, but shows well in BMS or even the Win10 gamecontroller setup and event tester. There is no "eating" software like TARGET running. So I can
t imagine why this device doesn`t work with LMC. Is there any device setting with influence to that problem? And second question: I want to use two USB devices alternatively with MIC PTT buttons, but I can only record one alternative as DX Hotkey for MIC in Livrot as I can see. Is there a way to use 2 USB devices with seperate PTT buttons within one profile or must I always switch LMC profiles ? -
Hi Foxmike.
About your second question, Have you tried to run 2 LMC instances at the same time, each one configured for one device ? Maybe it could figure out your pb ? -
No, I didn’t. My idea was to autoload one profile working with all controllers and sims. But as long as problem one isn’t solved problem two doesn’t matter. I have still no idea why the buttons of my Bodnar device are not seen by LMC but all other programms.

From the LMC manual (P.56)
Triggering LMC Hotkeys in a macro program
For hotkeys of the LMC functions (all hotkeys located on the Settings-Window / Hotkeys page) that are triggered
by mouse button and / or keyboard chains of events, a temporary macro can be recorded that contains the
needed action to trigger that LMC Hotkey. LL-‘eater’-Hotkeys or WS-Hotkeys must be disabled while recording
them as a temporary macro (use the ‘global override’ for example), otherwise they can not be recorded, they
would just get triggered while trying to record them.
Put that macro in a new command (‘add temporary macro’) and add a phrase to that command – now you can
trigger the desired LMC Hotkeys by speech recognition (do the same for hotkeys of other applications if you like). So simply record a keyboard hotkey that is not used anywhere else (a key combination like SHIFT+ALT+CTRL+WIN+‘m’ that is not used anywhere else) and create a new command for which you record this hotkey as a keyboard macro. Then give the command a usb button hotkey. Copy the command in the list of commands and record another usb button for it.
To have the press / release action for the mic, record only the key press events for a command triggered by a button press and do the same for the release action.

Hi Torvil.
I tried that and I even unpluged all old devices like Warthog throttle and stick. I tried different ports, USB2 and 3, it doesn´t make a difference. My Bodnar device is always in the USB device list and I even can choose it in the LMC advanced hotkey setting for replacing other devices. But all buttons I press are not seen by LMC. Like any other Joystick the Bodnar is shown by Windows as game controller (HID and USB device). Energy settings and all other HID and USB settings are standard, so I don´t know where to start from for making the buttons visible for LMC. Maybe any frequencies, I dont´t know. But even the Arduino board is well accepted and seen by LMC, so it seems to be a special problem with the Bodnar board and LMC only.

I found this on the web:

I hope this solves it for you.

Livrot, upon installing LMC and loading the default bms profile from your website, I get the log “speech input rejected”. I’m not quite sure what this means, can you give me some pointers?
EDIT: apparantly a new Windows Speech Recognition profile did the trick, even though LMC is rather tricky in actually understanding me.

I want to use the DX20 button (UHF radio switch on TQS) for the microphone hotkey and then create some simple tower commands (t8 = remove chocks). I’m able to do this and save the profile and everything works fine until I exit Livrot and restart it. The DX20 button still shows as the assigned microphone hotkey in the hotkey window but now the DX20 button doesn’t trigger the microphone. I have to delete the hotkey assignment and record it again for it to work.
Another issue is within Falcon, the DX20 and tower commands have to be repeated twice to work. I know Torvil states that “joystick buttons should have no function in a game” and joystick events are not eaten away, but I don’t think that is my problem in this case.
