Morphine's Profile

I’m just getting started with the Warthog (flew F4 years ago) and am looking for this key file. I found a link to dropbox from another source, but it returned an error. Is this file still available somewhere?
Thanks!

Mouse center is causing the FOV to go back to default. It should only call middle mouse button if mic switch up and the joystick pinky button are held down at the same time. If u want to change this, edit your FOV commands to something other than the mouse, edit falcon bms.cfg and either delete or edit “set g_sMiddleButtonFunction”, and or edit the target script and change mouse_center to something useful.
The only reason it’s in there is that it’s a legacy call back for teamspeak whisper, so there’s no loses in changing it.

thanks.Rebinding those shouldn’t be to bad, they’re all directx buttons. You should only have to change the call back for the respective button in the .key file. The coolie hat is buttons 22-25 and the mic switch is 26-30. The shifted layers are the base layers +256. Just keep in mind that BMS starts numbering from 0. The sim reads joystick button 1 as button 0, and button 22 as 21. Meaning to change the coolie hat up you will want to change the biding /callback for directx button 21 and it’s shifted value of 277. Lines 1208 and 1264 in the keyfile. the Keyfile manual, which is located in the BMS install in the Doc folder, will be a big help. I suggest you read it over.

because i don`t know nothing about script modifying. Please helpThe profile consists of two files a .key and a .tmc. For the changes you are talking about, you only need it edit the .key.
Both files can be edited with a simple txt editor, notepad++ works well.If you’re going to modify the target script, you will want to look at the target manuals and possibly use traget’s script editor.

I have heard those errors are related to entries in the windows registry. Have you tried deleting and uninstalling target and the warthog drivers, then reinstalling. If that doesn’t work you can manually edit the registry, here is a guide. https://www.reddit.com/r/hotas/comments/5it8q2/solution_to_thrustmaster_target_software/ I will say it is possible to brake windows in regedit so do so at your own peril. Do you have teamspeak on your system btw?

I’d just like to thank Morphine for his wonderful profile for the Warthog HOTAS, mine is working a treat thanks for all your hard work.
I’d also like to share a modification that some people may wish to use for flying V/STOL aircraft such as the Harrier AV-8B.
I added the Vtol Exhaust Inc to the 2 0’Clock position of the TRIM switch, and also added the Vtol Exhaust Dec to the 10 0’Clock position, allowing me to keep my hands on the stick while adjusting the nozzles. Here is the code, its near the bottom of the Warthog_DX.key file.
AFElevatorTrimUp 0 -1 -3 0 0x0 0 AFIncExhaust 0 -1 -3 1 0x0 0 AFAileronTrimRight 0 -1 -3 2 0x0 0 AFAileronTrimRight 0 -1 -3 3 0x0 0 AFElevatorTrimDown 0 -1 -3 4 0x0 0 AFAileronTrimLeft 0 -1 -3 5 0x0 0 AFAileronTrimLeft 0 -1 -3 6 0x0 0 AFDecExhaust 0 -1 -3 7 0x0 0

Windows. MS messed with something in the enumartion process that has rendered target unreliable. Problems with axis and double button presses is most likely related to target not hiding the physical devices from the system.
You can check if this happening by running the script, then going to Windows start menu and running joy.cpl. If both the physical devices and the virtual device are there, then you’re going to have problems. The only reliable way I can run the script correctly is to restart windows then run the target script editor, hit compile and then it run. If I run any other program before I run target the script will often hang, but still run, though it won’t hide the devices. Which results in a faulty profile.
I wish I could provide a more reliable method for running the script but there is something going on with target, that needs to be fixed tby thrustmaster. So… crazy late reply. Sorry. Thanks Gastone. That seems to be my issue. Sucks. I’m way to lazy to try to build a new key map My BMS days are over unless/until TM fixes Target.

Turns out the problem was with teamspeak. See here for a fix.

The NVG is bit easier to handle I’ll show how to do it.
The chain makes both buttons fire at once, So change this
MapKeyIO(&Throttle, MSD, DX29, CHAIN( SCRLCK, DX29));To
MapKeyIO(&Throttle, MSD, 'PULSE+‘n’, DX29); -
Thanks Gastone for answer,
but i have this message after: “Compile Error:Syntax error: n in jomla script.tmc at line 120”

oops there was an extra character in the last try this.
MapKeyIO(&Throttle, MSD, PULSE+‘n’, DX29); -

Hi SageOT I had the same error; I fixes it by uninstalling the Warthog drivers and TARGET, dowloading the new versions of each, and importantly making sure your throttle and stick are not plugged in during TARGET re-install. That worked for me…
