SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS support thread
-
Here is a zip archive of all v 1.9 files https://dsteam.azurewebsites.net/simshaker-wings/release/SimShaker%20-%20Wings.zip
You will want to use SimShaker - Wings.exe
If you right click on Manual Start button of the SimShaker - Wings Launcher there will be SimShaker - Wings working folder opened. Copy the file from the archive into the working folder, keeping Avast under control.

Hey Andre,
Simshaker Wings brings the whole flight sim to a new level. Your sound module
is a great add too.
Any recommendations about how to setup the gains within the software?
I know it’s kinda personal preferences but any suggestions would be
great. -

I’m trying the default settings to be good enough.
If you want to make a fine tune, try to disable all the effects except a selected one, and adjust its level.
Do the same for every effect you are interested in. -

Hi Sabre,
please read this my post about false positive detection of SimShaker files https://dreamsimteam.blogspot.ru/2017/10/antiviral-software-false-positively.html -
Hi Andre,
It might help if the program was installed to program files or program files (x86) rather than appdata where many suspicious files try to execute. It might save a lot of false positives and future questions.

SabreNo problems with that now.
Please read updated Installation section of SimShaker - Wings User Guide https://dreamsimteam.blogspot.ru/p/simshaker-wings-user-guide.html
and put it wherever you want. -
Thanks a lot, Andre. I’ll try that tomorrow and report here.
-
Hey Andre. I did what you suggested and it worked. I have my Simshaker back
Also got rid of Avast and installed Kaspersky, the best IMHO>
Thanks againJudy

Hi folks,
all of a sudden (without changing anything on the system w/r to simshaker or bms), simshaker wings has stopped working for me in BMS. The massage app still runs fine as does rfactor 2 (simshaker wheels), but I get no output from the seat in BMS whatsoever.
The BMS launch seems to be detected fine:
Thank you for using SimShaker software!
Happy flying21:12:33 Got settings from C:\Users\Uwe\AppData\Local\SimShaker-Wings\LauncherSettings.cfg
21:12:54 SimShaker-Wings start in Falcon_BMS mode
21:14:27 SimShaker-Wings close
21:16:34 SimShaker-Wings start in Falcon_BMS mode
21:21:26 SimShaker-Wings closeAny idea what could be wrong here? I’ve been messing around with getting my idle detent position to work on my warthog (mostly playing with the bms keyfile), but I wouldn’t think this could / would break jetseat functionality in BMS, right?
I’m using simshaker wings version 1.2.
Thanks in advance & all the best, Uwe
EDIT: I’ve verified “simshaker wings” outputs to the jet seat and the “test” button works as expected. I’ve also tried switching theaters to stock KTO, but that did not help, either.

Hi Uwe,
Current version of SimShaker - Wings is 1.14.
I would recommend to update it first of all. -
Thanks, I was thinking 1.20 > 1.14 but apparently it’s 1.02 < 1.14? Doesn’t the setup.exe look for updates automatically?
I’ll try that tonight and let you know how it goes.
All the best, Uwe
-
That’s right, it looks for updates automatically.
I wonder, do you really start the program via setup.exe? -
Yep, that’s what I’ve been doing ever since I upgraded from the previous simshaker software (for BMS / DCS I believe).
EDIT: I’ll manually download the latest version tonight. Weird that it should simply stop working like it did for me though without any changes to BMS itself.
Cheers, Uwe
-
I suggest you could try to start the app using its shortcut in order to get update.
-
Just ordered one from you Andre!
-
That did it Andre… now running 1.14 and the jetseat works again in BMS as expected. Thanks!
BTW, you might want to consider changing the version number to always include two digits, I think it’s less confusing this way.
All the best,
Uwe
