BMS 4.35.2 How to turn on the HMCS in my F-16 CM50
-
Fellow Viper simmers,
I updated my rig to 4.35.2 and am trying the enhanced SEAD experience. I always fly with the USAF Block 50. I have my hardware encoder mapped to [ and ] for the inc and decr of the JHMCS. But no effect…… trying to turn it on by mouse click (or scroll) has no effect. I did notice that if I start the Viper on the RW (I normally use the ramp) it is already turned on.
I am clueless. any suggestions?

DMS Down long if i remember correctly, no need to increase/decrease the brightness of the HMCS.

Scroll to turn it On/Off and adjust brightness and when is On use DMS to quickly activate/deactivate.

The real thing has an OFF position, so if you start turning the knob it makes a “clic” and you can turn it all the way up then.
So you have to somehow combine two separate functions: ON/OFF and an axis for the brightness.
If I remember correctly, as soon as you assign a rotory knob for the brightness, the sim cockpit knob will be out of function.
Only solution (that I know) is to assign a seperate key or button with the “HMCS ON”-function.In your case, you could try adding the missing functions… something like “Shift [” for OFF and “Shift ]” for ON.
