Legacy manuals missing from latest installers ?
-
I searched the forums for “Legacy Manuals”, didn’t find any info.
After a HD crash (backup ? what’s that ? :), I downloaded the current installers / installed the game.
I remember there was a “Legacy (Manuals)” folder the last time I installed ( ~ 1 yr ago), which is not in the current installer.
Why was it removed ?
Because of the “new owners / licensing” ? :

The “superpak” manuals are the important ones, as the “new / latest” Bms manuals build on / assume you have those manuals

Why was it removed ?
They were removed on purpose because they are not relevant to BMS and they added confusion.
Some of them still have relevant technical data but compared to the steps forward BMS made, reading them induced more confusion than anything elseBMS has it’s own manual suite which should be more than enough to answer questions about BMS
Reading Superpak manuals is the worst thing you can do to yourself
RP5 still has some technical aspect relevant to some aspect of the code, but most of it is very well outdatedSo use the BMS manuals - they are all 4.33 versions
- Dash1
- Dash34
- BMS manual
- Training manual

Waht about the threats guide? Has it changed alot? I do like the android kneeboard app for ground units, but I wouldn’t mind an up-to-date and full overview of stuff that kills you, might come in handy.

If you had entered ‘Threat Guide’ in the search box you would have found this excellent updated version by TeeSquare: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?26874-Threat-Guide

If I had, probably so! I had no clue one had been made however, so I figured I’d use this thread to ask about it as it was relevant to the topic, and I’m not into the habit of searching up each word of my posts (I probably should to satisfiy those who have time to read all the threads posted). I’m sorry of course, I never meant to discus anything on this discussion board. Won’t happen again (maybe).
