My SSD stopped working. ( oh come on, seriously??)
Prior to this BMS 4.33-U2 was working flawlessly with Foxy and my TMC with FSSB from Real Sim.Now after a complete reinstall of WIN 7 and hours and hours of following threads, here, Cubpilot and CougarWorld, I’m still having problems with the following despite flashing the firmware, redoing the TMC software and drivers etc. {I used 2007_HCO_VISTA_64_RC1}
Problem 1. Micro stick X and Y won’t calibrate properly, and simply don’t register movement on the HOTAS CCP viewer page, despite showing some movement in the manual calibration option. ( it finishes step 20 by saying that there isn’t enough movement registering on the stick.
[I have the TM rudder pedals and the microstick show as the YR and S2 axisProblem 2. the Antenna knob ( S1) is either showing all or nothing, with no incremental positions.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Check controller set up (Advanced) in the UI and make sure you have the Cougar selected for antennae and micro stick.

Do a hw reset on the cougar.

Yes, Thank you. But isn’t that only in the BMS part and The problem is prior to loading up BMS? I think so. But I’ll do the micro stick assignment in Falcon just to make sure.

I’ll try that again. There’s no harm in re doing a restart, if the restart didn’t do the redo properly…

Around once more.
I’ve just Uninstalled Foxy and Thrustmaster from Control panel / devices.
I’ve used Foxy to Flash/ ugrade the firmware.
I’ve reinstalled 2007_HCO_VISTA_64_RC1
Installed Foxy 4.4.02 and Cougar Control Panel 3.01
And
I’ve used the CCP to manually calibrate the Axis. And STILL the Range knob shows a raw output of 110 to 493, while at the same time the Viewer shows all or nothing in the yellow S1 movement bar.
And the Micro stick raw values are X:209 to 410 and Y: 231 to 440 The yellow bars in The viewer show nothing on YR and S2
Agggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
******************************OK. I did something I’m not supposed to do, because the calibration files are stored within the joystick, right, I let windows calibrate the range knob. Now it works properly in Foxy and CCP. IS this a clue?
The Micro stick is still dead to the software while still outputting raw values as above.Real flying so much easier……

How do u calibrate it?
Leave the lever untouched or as exactly ccp calibration tells u.
Move up means that exactly. As is the microstick just move the lever upwards. Not as of you think it’s upwards is.
Also in the past there was some need of declaration for it to work.
I had the same issue some decades ago. I had to add some lines to the foxy file, I use the same file every since and all fine.
I thought with DX and new profiles it’s not needed.Στάλθηκε από το MI 5 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

Did you disconnect the throttle from the stick prior installing/flashing? I used to have the same prob once and it was due to this fault. Disconnect the throttle and erase the firmware. Then reinstall without connecting the throttle and flash the cougar. Then shut the PC down connect the throttle and restart. This might resolve the issue.

To my two Greek friends above; yes I used the Software versions I stated earlier in the thread, and followed them correctly, I’m sure. That doesn’t mean I didn’t make a mistake of course.
What are people using in terms of software, do you agree that these are the correct files, and Where are YOU getting them from ??
*Foxy to Flash/ upgrade the firmware.
*reinstalled 2007_HCO_VISTA_64_RC1
*Installed Foxy 4.4.02 and Cougar Control Panel 3.01 -

On the main page I want to say do you have apply to windows axis checked? It should be on page where all axis are shown in ccp
