F-15C EAGLE
FULL EDITION
(Model & Cockpit)Hi everybody.
As of today I have completed the my F15C project. (exterior model and cockpit)
In this project I repainted TomCatz’s F-15C. I used actual photographs to make the details. I painted the default cockpit again. I made some changes in the default cockpit.
You can download the full version from the link below.
Best regards.

Some forum members wanted me to explain how to install the external model with the LOD Editor program. I prepared a guide on how to install the external model with the LOD Editor program. You can download the manual from the link below.

Note: This guide shows how the F-15 will be set up in the another theater. If you are flying at the Ostsee Theater, you do not need an additional installation.
Special Thanks To Tom Catz:
I would like to thank Tom Catz, who has prepared the F-15C 3D model, allowed to paint, and shared the lod files with us.
Important Notes:
1- Back up your original files before installing.
2- DO NOT USE the new cockpit with the default F-15C. Because the new cockpit is replacing the existing default F-15C files.
3- Screenshots are quite large in size. I gave my previews in mid-size for easy loading of the page. If you click on the predictions, you can see it in its original dimensions and in detail.Installation (For Ostsee Theater):
1- Back up your original files before installing.
2- Copy new dds files to the “X:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ostsee\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj” folder. (“Cockpit Skin” and “Skin LN” folders.)
Installation (For Other Theaters):
IMPORTANT: You can also fly at another theaters than the Ostsee Theater with the F15C. (for example Balkans Theater) To flying in other theaters, you first need to install the model files with the Lod Editor program. Check the size of the KoreaObj.lod file before loading the model files. Because, when the size of the KoreaObj.lod file in “X:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On X Theater\Terrdata\objects” exceeds 2 GB, the BMS crashes and closes. If you’ve already installed other airplane models, be sure to do this control. (for example JanHas F-16 or TomCatz other 3D models)
1- Back up your original files before installing.
2- If the size of KoreaObj.lod file is less than 2GB (recommended size 1.8 GB), install the model files with Lod Editor program. (Model folder)
3- Copy new dds files to the “X:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On X Theater \Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj” folder. (“Cockpit Skin” and “Skin LN” folders.)
Wide Angle Cockpit Fix (Recommended) :
IMPORTANT: If you are using TrackIR, DO NOT USE wide angle cockpit. The cockpit image will deteriorate. (This is due to the default model of the F-15C cockpit.)
Wide angle cockpit, the pilot’s head is slightly retracted, providing a wider view to the pilot. I use this cockpit.
Installation:
1- Back up your original files before installing.
2- Copy the folder named 898 to the folder “X: \ Falcon BMS 4.33 U1 \ Data \ Add-On X Theater \ Art \ ckptart”.
3-When we start the flight, the cockpit will look distorted. Do not worry. At the beginning of the flight, make the following correction only once: Press the center wheel of the mouse. Center the HUD screen and pull the mouse back towards you. The image will become a wide-angle cockpit.
600 Gal Exterior Fuel Tank Fix (Recommended) :
When you use the default 600 Gal exteior fuel tank, some disturbances occur in the view. The default 600 Gal fuel tank’s Lod Parent Data distance values need to be corrected as shown.

Good Job thanks a lot for your work
-
Just a quick tip….When you add the LOD’s, Make sure you change the SET TEXTURES from 6 to 1 being there’s only one skin for the F-15 in the Cockpit folder.
-
Awesome, thanks for your hard work.
-
thanks a lot for the amazing work!
I’ve followed the instructions for installing and the jet’s not appear at the sim - it’s show a gray triangle
I installed the models with LOD editor, skin and cockpit skin and updated the data for 600 gal tank

Hi Storm.
It’s very interesting. I tried it at different theaters. I did not encounter such a situation. I have no idea. I am very sad.
-

I will try to solve it and report what happen -
I will happy if you will report the solution. It will be useful to people who can be encountered in similar situations.;)

Thank you Burak.
It works fine for me now.
In the Korean theater I see the " Lakenheath " Bird.
When I select the plane, I have to change the Skins in the loadout page. Now I will try it in an other theater. Also this is working.:)
Again, thanks a lot.Cheers Jeroen1974

Jeroen…if you go into LOD editor and change Texture Sets from 6 to 1, your good to go!!! you no longer have to change skins to get to the one that works
-
Goodmorning Tass,
Thanks for the headsup.
I will try this in the next theater.
Lod editor is for me unknown. But with some help from BMS members and you-tube I see this Bird in two theaters. Thanks for the help.
Cheers Jeroen -
Very nice looking bird, thank you Burak! (and also TomCatz of course)
-
Burak, your F-15 is amazing! Thank you very much!
-
Great work. Thank you

For other theaters LE instructions in texture sets should be set to 1 to see the model in 3d, if it set to 6 it’s invisible.
There are not any 3d model parts movements, tail rudder wheels etc, do we miss any dat files for sim folder?
ndof nswitch set to 255 but no joyregards
-
Hi Dema.
Tom does not have too many moving parts on the F-15C. Moving parts canopy, pilot head, air brake, afterburner etc. I hope Tom will develop this wild bird even further. He will probably explain it himself. -
Is there any chance that someone who knows how can make an installer for this?
