Saitek X-52 Profile

Thanks viking for your work.
I have a pb with the cursor radar. When i start moving it with mouse stick the cursor move left or up and never stop. This happen only when the game is in windowed mode. In full screen it’s ok but on another side, in full screen my graphics are crappy with very bad antialiasing and i don’t have sharpen edges like in windowed mode.Check to make sure your radar cursor is not assigned to the arrow keys in Saitek. If they are then assign them to different keys. Are you using the pro or standard X52? I have never owned a pro so I have never been able to test it. I recall seeing some threads about a similar problem that has to do with the version of Saitek software. Do a search and see what you find.

Yes, there is a similar problem with the X52 Pro, but I never understood the cause of the problem.

Issue is caused by any “shifted” key. ie. Alt-F9 or Shift-5. Re-assign the keys in BMS and in your profile and you should be good to go.
Cheers!

Does not explain all cases. This has been seen with non-modified keys as well.

In that case, I stand corrected.

i am using x52 pro too, the mouse on it is not that smooth to control. n no way to set up its sensitivity. also its physical posotion is not that good from design point of view. its orinitation between thumb, the MFD on screen n our own mind are not perfectly allocated. it is Saitek design problem

Would anyone be able to help me find where my Saitek Profiles directory would be? I am on Windows 10. I have no idea where I can look
-
maybe I found it? Anyone able to confirm? I am looking at C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Docs\Key Files & Input\Device Setup Guides & Profiles\Saitek X52
Just don’t want to mess up anything so early in the game set up

If you are looking for the default folder where saitek looks for profiles, open saitek software and in programming page click on the folder icon (load profile). It opens a file browser windows that points right there.

I am wanting to use the profile made by KesMonkey. The instructions say “* Drop the Falcon BMS X-52.pr0 file into your Saitek Profiles directory, and load this profile from the profiler software.” and i am not sure where the Saitek Profiles directory is. But I think I found it in the BMS folder.

Some are available there but I believe it is meant C:\Users\Public\Documents\Logitech\ instead of Logitech it might be MadCatz or Saitek or SmartTechnology. The brand name has changed several times. This is default folder where profiles are organized and may be the initial directory when you press the “open” button from the SST software. It’s not required that you put the .pr0 files in any particular folder but you may find it more convenient.

Will this profile still work in 4.34 or have there been changes to keyfile/default buttons?

How can I get this profile working in 4.34?

Hello mates,
I’m back after 3 years being absent because of health issues and when I return I see we’re not anymore in 4.32 but already in 4.34.3 !! What and amazing job you did BMS team !!
My only issue is that I’m used to Kesmonkey’s X52 Profile and I’m having issues with it in 4.34 :
- first of all on the stick the A button isn’t cycling A-A weapons anymore
- second issue is with CMS Up and left : chosen program on CMS Up won’t launch, same for CMS Left, nothing happens…
Any help to update that amazing X52 Profile for 4.34.3 please ??! I think that profile is just perfect for ppl who have not enough money to buy a Cougar or a Warthog
Thanks in advance for any help !!Maj John “Kalonji”

This profile is indeed great but so far i had moved from using it to using dx key bindings. There´s an excel spreadsheet that comes along with falcon you can use to map your x52 to in game key bindings…i just accept the deafaults. I´ll attache my key file and my radar cursors profile for the X52. You use the key file in falcon (you will load it there) and the profile for the x52 is just like any other profile but it´s going to be used only for moving the radar cursors with the mouse. Hopefully you have older saitek drivers. New drivers and software have a lot of issues.

Basically there is a full key and pr0 file in the \Docs\01 Input Devices\03 HOTAS Setup\Saitek X-52
If you can give up one of the axis i.e the twist rudder or the slider you can rearange the axis with registry entries you can use the mouse ministick as real axis

Thanks a lot pals for your answers !!
Actually, I managed to get CMS Up working again, apparently I had a wrong setting on my countermeasure programs, my mistake
But for the A button issue, I’ll check what you guys told me, pretty sure I’ll go through that quickly !!I really hope those docs will help me making my own X-52 Setup, I’ll keep KesMonkey’s base, but I’d like to make some changes Replace Flaps on T3-T4 with Cat I / Cat III for instance :)))
Oh, and unfortunatly I’m using the new Logitech drivers and softwares Which one is the best for Win7 x64 ; Saitek or Madcatz ?!
Thanks a lot again and have fun !!

Until I recently switched to an X65F I used the X52 with the new logitech drivers and never had any issues with them on W10
