Looks REALLY GOOD Earlybite!!! One question. It looks like the hangars are floating in space. Is there any way to lower them closer to the ground, or is this an issue with BMS? I ask, because I’m going to be modeling various buildings around some of the airports and I’m trying to learn as much as I can before embarking on my mission. lol. Also, roughly how many Tri’s are your hangars? They look good!
-
In 3d app the base of the object must be on z=0. Or if the terrain is not flat then one side of the building-object will be floating.

Thanks for that video Tom. Looking at it makes me realize, again, just how brilliant this sim is. The sim experience is very little different ( visually and sound wise) to the video

1963 36 18so few… they are all that there is? just 90?
so many needed
there are only 24 center thus we need 12 more.
plus the Left Right which are only 8 so we need 28*2=56 more.
and then there is the lettering only which for single we have 14 of the 24 needed thus 10 more.
And then there is the multiple lettering which is ++++ or per case.
Oh dear… many textures to be done…
12+56+10=78 textures more.
hmmm
I must add it at the airbase lights thread. Thanks Earlybite.

Hi Arty,
these are all I found…, ordered by “Taxi Sign” in LOD Editor.
But I used only <- and ->, for to write down.
E.g.:
1706 <-B A
has aslant A, the <- as aslant1697 <-C B A
has vertical B and vertical A, the <- in verticalAnd e.g.:
1700 <-A<-BCD->E->
You can know that C is the actual transition…It had to be fast, but as overview…
BTW:
I always thought that A, or B, a.s.o. stands for a parking area. But it stands for a transition! And e.g. <-A<-BCD->E-> shows and leads to a transition…
A and B to the left, actual C, D and E to the right. For Osan I use up to F for RW 27L/09R, but the second runway has only three transitions. (And I think that this will not be changed, because it looks like, that this RW is “only” for the “big birds”.)
And I deleted my new RW signs e.g. 09L-27R and I now use only 27L-09R and 27R-09L.
The idea was, that if you enter the runway that you can see at which part you are, but this is obsolete because of the transitions signs, like A, or B a.s.o… -
Ok, two new hangars, and a house (captured from an unused one):
Now still five new hangars…
Then the second objective…Ok,

Some hangars:
And starting a little scenery along the long taxiway:

Something like that:
Currently 450 tri’s…, that should work in the end.
Update:
I think, it’s ok so far…
Currently 718 tri’s…, goal is not over 2000. I think, ~ 2000 tri’s for that area is very acceptable. Now on to the dds.
Best regards

BTW: ca. 1100 tri’s

Osan - Buildings Part II…
Testing from Ramp Start on…
The “Big Birds” are coming…
This is a little story!
Uh, all fine!
Take off:
–------------------------------
The little story:I came from my ramp start place and had only an eye for those two F-16’s coming from the great “court” and as I looked to the right I saw this huge C-17, it was so near and it is so huge that it filled the whole screen, I was so shocked that I directly turned to left to avoid a crash…
But the C-17 was waiting that I passed, continuing making my take off…FPS:
Twenty a/c’s on the ground at the same time, eight a/c’s in the air want to land…
Weather fair, clouds 20% low shattered45 FPS in the cockpit
For those who like what I made for Osan, I will make a binary install for vanilla. But I will also offer as download the LOD’s…
So…, this, except some “Fine Tuning”, is version three. (I have skipped version two…)
I now have again an equipment, 21:9 monitor, HOTAS, EDTracker Pro, and I now will fly a “little”. Naturally from Osan Airbase…Best regards

Great work on Osan, Earlybite!!
Congratulations, and thanks for sharing it.
-
Great!
I was looking forward to seeing more modern OSAN base since 4.33 came out. Now its here!
-
Very nice!

Too bad we remade it already…
Told u so
