FTW: Attacked by cloaked Fulcrums
-
Flying stock Korea, getting shot at 30k’ out of nowhere, nothing on radar nor RWR. Out of confusion paused and activated labels, I’m getting attacked by AA-10A and AA-8 but no red aircraft of any kind within 20-mile label range and, again, nothing on RWR nor Radar… I get that the Aphid won’t track on RWR, but how could it possibly be attacking me from beyond 20 miles, and if the AA-10A is SARH, shouldn’t I have a MiG-29 on my RWR? Additionally, at 30k’ and 380 kts, I would assume an AA-10A shot is going to have to come from within 20 miles for a rear-quarter attack…

New one on me AA-10A should set it off.

Maybe it was the “B” model. I know you said it was AA-10A. Did you verify it was A model? Could it be an error in the debrief??

Same happened to me too but Ai stupidness saved my A… Got warning from awacks about enemy real close to me start searching for it and making turns. Sudddenly bells start ringing mig showed on my rwr and missiles incoming. Some flares and chaff fired by program and I managed to survive.
From mission end briefing I did saw that 4 missiles was shot at me 2 ir and 2 radars in 7 seconds at that order. I didn’t understand AI:s behavior but those radars did probably saved my a…
Well, acmi showed me that that those bandits did fly under my radar and my AI wingman mark2 eyeballs did’n work either on this. I was scanning high flyers for too long and trusted AI wingman too much with it’s mark2 eyeballs.Problems with AI:s is that you don’t now what your wingman is doing and enemy AI:s is doing what it’s doing. Maybe unfolding ai:s behavior as 2 may solve this for frendlies.
Still bms is my favorite f4 simulator and I finally get banng for bucks those i’ve used 15 years ago.
I’ll also have allied force but it have it’s flaws too and this is still better than that. -
This has happened to me before in the past. It seems like it is a common bug.
