Having trouble getting the new F-4 in the game

Here are the problems we have with the current models :- canopy seems to have an alpha layer problem
- fin is transparent for some reasons
- Landing gear is broken even if “is complex” is turned on in the .dat file (I’m using the Manos dat file by the way)
Looks great otherwise. Any ideas how to fix?

When I compare glass HUD block 30IAF and block 30 USAF I see a big difference : there is some reason that the visibility of the glass edge is reduced ?

I could probably fix the textures on the back of the F-4 sometime, or did you plan to fix those?

https://i.imgur.com/tg0omvN.pngWill try to fix, Therefore its not gonna be easy thats why im making a new Phantom with different UV mapping. This model is unwrapped like this and unfortunatelly errors like this will exist cause of course the 3d model isnt flat.

Ah I see, very difficult to line the textures up huh. I ran into that problem especially when texturing the older models. Getting things lined up perfectly took forever

Well probably with some minor editing in the top of each side on the texture will be fine (try to connect the colors better i mean). If you think you will be able to do it feel free i can look at it as well but as i always say im not a skinner it takes awfully lot of time to make something with Photoshop/gimp or whatever program might be using as i really know just the basic stuff for them.

I can take a look at it, skinning for this sim is ULTRA tedious… I really hate it. lol. Sometimes the texture is stretched over the 3d model or even inverted on the older models, making lining things up virtually impossible. Then there’s the workflow… make a change to the texture in photoshop, save, load 3d model in mission commander, try to figure out what’s wrong… back to photoshop again, repeat. Wouldn’t it be great to paint directly onto the 3d model…

One thing is that some stores (shrike and STARMS) have an “extra” pylon on the missile, I’m not sure how to fix it. -

That would be awesome! But my 3ds Max crashes whenever i try do it. There is a mode in Max you can do it directly in the 3d model and that is saved i believe afterwards to the UV map as a file but for some reason my max crashing. I tried to do it in Jas-39 i making with no luck.
As i said the problem with the model is the uv mapping. The uv map is for FS2009 and therefore is completely wrong, i decide it to keep it as is cause of time consuming progress of new uv maping. New UV map u have to be very patient and get even triangle to triangle maps on the model witch is nervebraking progress. Therefore i never giving up it might be possibe after i finish mine F-4 to do the same in the high-poly models as i will have the knowledge and i believe the progress will be faster.For the Shrike missile i think they where using an extra plylon anyway… here is an F-4G:

I correct my self there isn’t any model in current ITO 80s, Cloud dont push me I think i have it somewhere in the loads of 3d models from back then either that or the ccc version on the package he had released couple years ago

Hmm yes there is a Kfir in ITO80’s, ccc gave it to us.
It doesn’t have a pit so I wouldn’t fly it, but it’s there. -

BTW to fly old kfir, the best 3d pit to use is A10 3d pit.

In the thread i allready said that ill change eventually the exaust to a more aimple one it will save me a lot. Probably will be the one my new phantom uses.
