The videos/images in the OP are dead but I’m experiencing a chessboard like flicking issue when in external views. If keep the mouse steady in orbit view for example, it’s fine 99% of the time, however as soon as you pan the view a chessboard flickering appears all over the terrain. I’m running an nvidia 980Ti, but I don’t know off hand the driver version.

Yes i took the links down
What worked for me: Reinstall BMS
and check for new Drivers

Try with ALT+TAB. But bear in mind that it can couse a crash (expecially for other applications actives such MFD extractor for example)

BMS 4.33.3. Using a 1080gtx, same effects here, see this. Latest drivers used. 378.78 -
Having picked up BMS 4.33.5 again after upgrading my rig and video card late last year, I am now also noticing flickering ground textures like in the video above.
I didn’t have this problem when I was still using my GTX 760 and BMS 4.33.4 at the time - but now I’m using a GTX 970 and I’m getting awful flickering textures - in particular when looking around or rotating around my plane in an external view.
Is there are particular cause & remedy for this? I find it so strange that I never had this issue when using my 760?
-
I have noticed it but it only used to happen in external views
Running 388.13 with a 780 but have not seen this for ages……so no idea what I did.
Turn off all win 10 Game mode options in Settings
In the BMS shortcut on compatibility tab select Disable full-screen optimisations
Do you have an NVIDIA profile setup?
-
Thanks for that, I’ll have a look tonight and adjust whatever Nvidia profile I have to match yours. What are you using in terms of in-game graphics settings?
-
All advanced options ticked
and this
Never usually do it like this normally a bit clearer what is overriding what.

Sometimes when I get flickering on a few tiles or loose my MFDs after a lot of external views I find alt-tabbing out of BMS and then alt-tabbing back in again fixes the issue.

I’ve tried that although alt-tabbing also causes my BMS to crash at times and in my cause, it’s not a few tiles… it’s like entire parts of the outside world are flickering!
