AIDC FCK-1 Ching Kuo

It sort of looks like the bastard love child between a F-16 an a T-38?
There is indeed some concepts from F-16, F-18, Rafale… Taiwan is a small country, with only 26 millions inhabitants.
They tried to find some concepts, doctrine, to make theirs. Even this fighter is probably not as advanced as F-16 block 60 or Typhoon or Rafale, they did it by themselves.
I have an admiration for those who try to make by themselves, even there is a lot of US components inside, this aircraft is Taiwan flagship.
I really like that, and I want to make this FCK-1 as a tribute of Taiwan.

I will not go in this political topic!
Are you from Taiwan, Thaeris?

No - I’m from Indiana in the United States. I’m an aviation nerd like the rest of you fine fellows here.

Righto, so we wanted more information on cockpits, eh? As was prompted/suggested before by others, I also have to assume the rear cockpit is much the same as the front. Modeling pages help to further that belief:

https://web.ipmsusa3.org/content/adf-f-ck-id-ching-kuo-idf-indigenous-defense-fighterFor general information, I thought these pages were quite useful indeed:

https://www.jetphotos.com/aircraft/AIDC%20F-CK-1A%20Ching%20Kuo^The last one is obviously just a photograph archive, but those are useful in their own right.

this is how I don’t want to touch the campaign of TW or anything related. More talks, more trouble…. XD
15-20 years ago, there are very few Falcon friends come from Mainland China, now I think there are more people enjoying this game than we (TW) do.
Let’s join the big happy family when FALCON ID4 comes… -

Let’s join the big happy family when FALCON ID4 comes…Well, I like Taiwan and I like to have different nations represented in BMS. I hate the idea of a NATO against CCCP only campaign. World is much more complex than that. Japan, China, North Korea, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore deserve to be in BMS.
For Taiwan, they are de facto an independant country, which is a dispute topic with Beijing. For that simple conflict, I suppose it’s interesting and realistic to have ROCAF forces in BMS theaters, if applicable. FCK-1 in ITO would have less relevance…
Cheers,
Radium

Let’s join the big happy family when FALCON ID4 comes…I come from Mainland China, we have some FalconBMS communities to share knowledge and play online events. We enjoy BMS and love F-16 viper;)
I once flied with friends from Taiwan “fly tiger” virtual squadron. We both use the same SOP and feel good.
The development of FalconBms’s events in Mainland China has grown rapidly for these years and many guys join us for flying online but its popularity is still behind DCS in China.
As for Taiwan theater,we do not reject it but as i said before i hope the Taiwan theater Dev team can describe some entities more precisely ,for example both Blue and Red forces in Taiwan Theater should be called ROC(Republic of China) and PRC (People’s Republic of China) instead of simply “Taiwan and China” that may lead to misunderstanding.
For me,I respect ROCAF and i think ROCAF is also Chinese air force which once defended our country and resisted the invasion of Imperial Japanese Army Air Force.
Hope FalconBms make us great again !:D:D -

I’m happy to bring my little 100 yens on that task.

I’ll make you a nice J-10 and J-20 soon!
I think it’s necessary to make a J-10 after you finish the FCK-1 because it needs an adversary:)
But as for J-20, I don’t think it’s necessary because there is no enough data and it is still a mystery to us.There are many debates about the capability of J-20 in Chinese aviation forums.
But if you have enough time to make a J-20,we will appreciate it. Thanks!

Hello!
After 3 pages without a single screenshot…
Here we are!
It’s not a lot, but a good start.
I did it as promised while I was unwrapping texturing CH-47.
More to come!

Hello,
today was a working fury.
Tons of Japanese music, some cold lemon juice, and here we go!
There is still lots of work on her.
But I think I have general shape.
More to come!
Stay tuned,

So, here we go!

This fighter is so charming!
Many people requested me to do KAI T-50, as it is very close from F-16. Nobody asked me FCK-1. But I loved this aircraft, which is also very close from F-16 for avionics and FLCS. Honestly, KAI T-50 is one of the ugliest aircraft on duty, in my very own and humble opinion.
So, I decided to make AIDC FCK-1.
Cheers,
Radium

Hello,
I’d like to share with you something there.
When I do a model, I also take time to know deeply what I’m doing. At least I try.
On FCK-1, something is written on front. However, I don’t speak Chinese. I would need from our Chinese and Taiwanese fellows their advice on this point!
Trying to guess the meaning with my Japanese language knowledge, I still have some doubt.
As you can see, the first caracter is not complex to guess. It’s old chinese so it’s normal Taiwanese use it (their writting style).
For second caracter, I’m not used to this writting form. It could mean, in old Japanese (not really in use nowadays : progress). Kanji combination would then mean “country progress”. But This is just a guess. Taiwanese / Japanese is closer than Chinese / Japanese, so, I think my hypothesis is relevant. Through the country wouldn’t look relevant…
But, I need help of our PRC and ROC friends, if you can give me some help on this translation issue!
Cheers,
Radium
