You might want to post the issue you were having, so those that also run into that issue, will know how to resolve it!

ok here is the issue I was having, and fixed thanks to Metalhead’s help. I will try to explain the best I can. if anyone has the issue where the MFDs and HUD aren’t showing anything, go into the 3dckpit.dat file, and makes sure the “LOD files to use” matches the parent numbers of the installed LODs you used. for example here are mine:
// the LOD models to use.
cockpitwingsmodel 3164; // the 3d cockpit wings model
cockpitmodel 3165; // the main 3d cockpit model
cockpitmodel2 3166; // switches and knobs
cockpitmodel3 3167; // displays
cockpitcanopymodel 3168; // Canopy model
cockpithudmodel 3169; // RTT-Hud
mainmodel 1331; // the primary model
damagedmodel 1288; // the damaged modelMODEL LODnum PARENTnum
1-cockpit-wings 8125 3164
2-cockpit 8126 3165
3-switches-and-knobs 8127 3166
4-RTT-displays 8128 3167
5-cockpit-canopy 8129 3168
6-hud-RTT 8130 3169they match. so all good. if that’s the case and still doesn’t work, find this in 3dckpit.dat:
hud 20063.0 -2750.0 -618.0 20063.0 2750.0 -618.0 20063.0 -2750.0 4902.0 371 0 599 224 c;

then go back to the file and remove the // from the hud line. start BMS and you should be able to see the hud. that means it’s working so remove the other // lines and you’re good to go.

These lines can be deleted they will not work, and maybe they disturb somehow the functionality of falcon. I was trying to make the third and fourth mfds to work without success.

I guess this is dead ?
-
Not dead, but paused. I moved to London UK and I did not buy a pc or laptop yet.
I will resume the work on it when I can. Thanks for the interest
Regards Metalhead -
Metalhead, it’s 30000 or 70,000 thousand triangles, correct me, please if I’m wrong!
-
The f22 is more than 70000 triangles but the requirements for the BMS database is 30000 max for external lod 1.

-
All the attatchments are invalid…
Can you repost them?

Dear Toro,
just a suggestion: please don’t forget to care ‘how’ you are to embed a graphic attachment. There is a specific option making you able to do it while seeing the picture in the whole, and resizing it at your likes as well.
This should avoid for all of us to see only an ‘invalid’ link.
I’ve found out this trick by chance, and since then doing so made my day. And that’s not a bug, but just the way this site is made.Good luck!
WIth best regards.
