ΝΗ-90

Im happy to announce that after request i will work on an NH-90 Helicopter 3d model for our beloved sim.
I did and continue to do my research and gather photos and blueprints to be as accurate as i can be.
Therefore it will take some time to complete as i already have to many ongoing projects to finish.
I already started the basic mesh/shape of the helicopter.
Progress will be slow so bare with me
I will say that for starters i aim for a Hellenic Army version and then if its needed ill do also other skins/versions of it.Project owner : Manos1981
3d model : Manos1981
Research and Info : Raptor/Manos1981Cheers,

Look’s like a heck of a under taking, being new in this sim and I see choppers in TE , but have not tried them, are they flyable ??? On another note could I trouble you for the number for the cockpit wing view model number of the B-52D , I know you are the man to talk to about a skin for the XB-52 maybe sometime in the future it can be done I was thinking if it looked more like the front of the B-47 we could use a number of pits here, I’m not going to hold my breath for a pit that would be a massive undertaking. thanks for your hard work it makes this sim a joy to fly and putting up with me straying off topic.

Some progress :You could have fooled me on the 3d modeling, you have made some nice stuff , that’s why I asked you about the cockpit wing view model numbers if there was any on the B-52, the view I’m looking for would be like me sitting on the nose with my back in the middle of the wind screen of the B-52 recessed back a couple of feet,.question, I haven’t been able to load any of your creations because I’m still learning the 3d editor , do you have any or able to have camera views from the inside of your models.???

For views and stuff the file responsible is the aircraft’s dat file i believe not the model it self as the 3dcockpit.dat for each model’s cokpit views. Now for using my models u have to know well what are u doing with Lodeditor otherwise u gonna mess up the database and that will result a non playable or really porked sim.

that’s why I don’t even try, I have to re load 3d editor and start over I can’t even get to the 3d view of stock models to get the info I’m asking you for. thanks for the time and the info.

Phantoms for NH dimensions? OK…
Why not? Its just 3 meters shorter in length from a Phantom, ok the width is proportional anyway for the NH-90, and i can keep it “in game” dimensions as i already tested the phantom in game and if i want to use stuff like pilots and other things i don’t have to resize the model. Its my way to work as im not too good in sizing something yet in 3ds max… still learning a lot!
So now im done with the size for the general shape i deleted the Phantom from the scene -

Why not create a simple box with known RL dimensions for reference?
… with the box- polys flipped it can be used for holding a blueprint as well.
Cheers, :yo:

Lazy ill try that! Anyway, some progress, I saw that the blueprint i have isn’t accurate 100% and after watching some videos and searching of pics for at least Greek i came up with this “nest” for the rotor, I kinda like it as it comes out but i will research more maybe isn’t accurate as well
Cheers!
