heyyy much better
is it correct that an old campaign save will continue to work with 2.3 ?
Yes it is, only thing check squadron stores using MC. Some weapons might be at 0 quantity.

I like the aesthetic of the new map,
but unfortunately it’s just not nearly as functional as the old one. I no longer have access to the in-game roads or terrain, it’s really like having no map at all… -
We tried to plan some missions but we’re flying blind… is there an easy way we can install the old one please?
I agree that it looks cool, definitely a neat concept. But it’s game-breaking. -
Added link to first post for the old map
-
Thanks. It’s an interesting idea, to fit a real world map on there. Obviously took a lot of work. But in the end, it’s much more useful to have an accurate view of the in-game terrain & road system to plan around, imo.
How did Starrats (?) generate the original map anyways?

Its easy to export just roads or rivers (or both) from in-game terrain and merge it over cool map u are talking about.
-
Not as easy to make it look good… How do you export that stuff?
-
I wouldn’t sink any more time into that map… it’s just not high enough resolution and you’ll never get the terrain to match up correctly

It’s about shoving out theaters as quickly as possible, why worry about insignificant things like that!!!:roll::roll:

Several tools are capable of it. Terrainview, Monsters Terrain Editor also.

Yep, it was easy to make a map of theater with a push of the button from falas` mc.
Original nto came with same maps that Luke and obi1 are trying to perfect. They did a better stretching job than i did before giving up.
As far as shoving theaters out before they are perfect, i think NTO collected enough dust over these last several years. Many people including me are glad to be able to check out this theater in its current condition. If anyone wants to help improve it, great.
But the main reason we open comunity to these old theaters( reworked) is for help. Not everyone sits on 20+ years of deving falcon.Don’t damn us for waking bms fans to nto before it is perfect. It will never be perfect.
But if we can make it better with other people’s help and advice we will. -
We have gotten some awesome missions out of these new campaigns. Flying out of Bardufoss in the mountains is ultra cool. I’m using winter textures with lots of snow and clouds.

Looks like a COLD war!

ILS show its power.

speaking of ILS, I made another approach chart: for Bardufoss. Tried a DME arc this time.
Just good enough to do the job until a pro like Nikos puts them out -
Thank you for your kind words mate.
Well after some scheduled works, beautiful Nordic theater is on my list.
So yes, you will have some more nav. charts for sure!

thanks man, I like tidy I use these charts as templates:
https://avinor.no/en/ais/military/milproc
https://avinor.no/globalassets/_microsite/ais-portal/mil/endu/en_ad_2_endu_304hitac28_en.pdfedited them with adobe acrobat. But that was becoming clunky so I finished it with paint.net or photoshop
