Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
-
Good morning, Arty,
My apologies! I’d forgotten that I haven’t used the HSI or CMDS/autopilot “pages” since using 4.34. I only checked the callbacks against the server for matching in 4.34. I use a single Samsung Galaxy A 10.1 and over the past few months of using the MFD extractor, I found I was only using the MFD, ICP, and flight data funtions and I never thought to check those that you found are AFU. I’m really sorry.
I must have just missed the one callback. I’ll check and see what I can find out and report back. Keep your expectations low, though, as I’m not very good with this “programming” as you’ve discovered!
Once again, please accept my apologies, Arty. Didn’t mean to mislead you.
All my best,
Robno problem m8.
I’m just saying to notify and others. It would be bad to download it and fire up a mission and at the middle got it fubared.
as far as icp and mfd buttons works ok. so don’t use others for the time being.Though I believe Komurcu should look and maybe update with new callbacks also like flir and brightness and etc.

well as I suspected… the duplicates mess up things.
Example simicpcom1 simicpcom2
they exist already in bms key file as:
SimICPCom1 122 0 0x3B 0 0 0 1 “ICP: COM1 Button - Push”
SimICPCom2 122 0 0x3C 0 0 0 1 “ICP: COM2 Button - Push”and pressing com1 on the app gives
Key Does Not Matchwhen setting those to
SimICPCom1 1011 0 0XB5 1 0X0 0 1 “ICP-COM1”
SimICPCom2 1091 0 0X37 1 0X0 0 1 “ICP-COM2”which I got from Komurcus x52 key file it works fine.
looks like komurcu’s app uses the xml file that it has stored in and not the keyfile you load?
trying to figure out… but with a 15" on my laptop is way hard to manage all that info.
will try those 2 commands and see how it goes.Dear Arty…
We (I) discovered problem and solution 2 years ago and is not duplicate lines , because they just overwrite themselves, so the last line is actual.
The problem is so simple and I’m not gonna tell yaOk, problem is in the “small x” in hex key number, so software is case sensitive in respect to 0xFFFF… and 0XFFFF…
So, make all commands in keyfile , NOT all of them , just the ones that program use, in Capital X eg… 0X2D 1 …
Thats it… you’re good to go.
Try searching Komurcu’s thread and you’ll find my post with explanation.
Good luck.

Thank u white_fang i read about the small x but didn’t had time to test look for it.
I’ll look at it.
Also Kolbe and mantaray said in komurcu’s commands the quotes are missing.Damn details that make our life happy also make it miserable. [emoji38]
Lets hope this is the end of the trip.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

Hi Arty,
I’m going to go over my key file if I get home early enough and I’ll let you know what I find. One other thing of interest (and one reason I’d not been using them) the AP and CMS switch “window” slightly overlays the bottom of the MFD’s on my Tablet. If I click the “X” (window close button) it moves behind them like an inactive window and then I can use the bottom MFD buttons. I never gave it much thought but a few other users had this problem. I have a Galaxy Tab A 10.1, so I don’t suspect it’s a tablet size issue, but I never did figure it out. Anyway, probably not relevant, but thought I’d mention it because sometimes seemingly unrelated things can have an effect.
I’m not sure the gentleman who wrote the program is still active with it, so I’ve not bothered him. Based on the threads I see, it probably was a labor of love that got a bit too large; a “hobby gone bad” if you will! He did a hell of a job, though, and I appreciate his effort.
All my best,
Rob -
thanx RobfromME i’ll give it a go naked as is.
it works fine with no errors in the list
BUT
SimHmsSymWheelUp no key matchall others are ok.
EDIT: they are not ok all others. MFD buttons seem ok but ECM don’t work also HMCS and the autopilot fubars all it resets the airplane computer so you loose all until it reboots.
On the xml front i checked it and only 2 callbacks where different than mine so it’s not that either.
Komurcu are you looking at it whenever you have the time please?
Good morning, Arty,
Here’s an update. HMCS is now working correctly. So if IFF master mode. I had to change the keystroke for the callback. Apparently the keyboard press for the IFF callback has changed since this MFD extractor program came out. Regarding the ECM panel problems other than HCMS, I have no idea. The “FULL” keyfile in 4.34 doesn’t have keyboard keys assigned to the errant switches. What I did notice was that the callbacks and keys used by the extractor turn off the INS and some of the other switches on the avionics power panel when using the A/P and that hoses everything. I’m afraid I don’t have a solution here. The keystroke doesn’t seem to be duplicated. Maybe the MFD extractor server/client program is becoming outdated? I’m not computer savvy enough to figure it out at this point.
In the meantime, I’ll probably use it only for ICP and MFDs, as the touch screen and larger images are sure nice!
All my best,
Rob -
I will send Komurcu an email to see if he is still around.
-
i will publish new version on week for IFF master mode
sorry for late -
I’ve used this App for a year and now wouldn’t fly without it! If the MFD picture updates at a faster rate I’ll be a very happy cat. I’m looking for alternatives like a usb tether between the tablet and the PC.

but i dont have a lot of time . may be i will finish in 5-6 month -
No prob.
Take your time.
Since you will look on to this besides iff could you implement and the rest of the icp functions?
Like flir and brightness rotary’s?Στάλθηκε από το MI 5 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

well kinda works.
It’s not just make all small x to capital X -
well kinda works.
It’s not just make all small x to capital XYou have to be VERY CAREFUL what X’s you convert … , only (0x.+) to (0X.+) … NPP++ (search and replace w/ RegExp) is your best friend.
I’m curious now, what else did go wrong ?
Cheers
-
I had them copy paste on the bottom of the keyfile and made the change only there for all small x to capital X.
U didn’t say 0x. Bad boy… [emoji38]Στάλθηκε από το MI 5 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

Good night guys
i checked my codes (5 hours ) for SimICPIFF
if you assign key to SimICPIFF you will not need any upgrade
just assign key and use it -
Good night guys

just assign key and use itjust to clear out. (stupid I know but…) u need keyboard callback and not dx. Right?

Yes. By default… IFF = F3 (0X3D) is already in full keyset
…
(0x.+) => (0X.+) is just RegExp string for search&replace in Npp++ to help you with big X solution, just enter 1st string into find and 2nd string into replace0 = just a pointer for easier string replacement , so no UNWANTED x would be replaced by X
x = the x we want replaced
. = RegExp variable for any-char- = RegExp variable to select the number of characters , rest of the word, not so ‘greedy’ … * = would select almost entire line (very greedy) , ? = would select 1 character
But, as always check what NPP selects with “find” only so no mistakes happens , you can break your entire keyfile … bet, yeah , there’s always UNDO
Cheers
-
@Arty… sorry, regexp string for finding 0x must be like this , (was talking from memory, but when tested it at home, it wasn’t so good, it was greedy to the end of the line, but we dont want that)
correct syntax is only ‘0x’ and replace ‘0X’
And thats it , Keep it simple
-
well I just opened the file again and I don’t know… looks as it should be.
