It worked, thank you!

Hello guys,
I tested this tool on 4.34 and it works. No problem at all.

Hi guys,
I tried to run the Online Squadron Collection under 4.34 but it’s not working at all. The tool is still searching for an BMS 4.33 U1 installation which not longer exist on my PC.
Can anybody provide a solution for this problem or should we wait for a new version with 4.34 support. We would be very pleased about a functional OSC for our human ATC and human AWACS.BG

Wait or hexedit it?
Those , like path, should be on a config file or param and work with parent paths.
On general this would solve many compatibility issues with 3d party apps. besides the db compatibility.
For which the bms dev team should provide a detailed guide and changelog so that 3d party devs - coders could implement changes easier - sooner.
Maybe not public but to those affected and with years of devotion on the community.
Im not saying they didn’t. Please.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

Hello guys,
Terrain Editor cannot open the te_tac file of the 4.34. There are also some problems with the Objective Lab. Terrain Editor gives some errors and closes itself.

Sakis needs to update TE to the new version of BMS!! Right now about all you can do is tiling, and a few other things.

I’ve talked with him. Low priority atm due to RL.

NO!! , it does NOT , you can’t load objectives .tac/.cam.
… also you need legacy/binary .dat database , xml is NOT supported.(but that’s not a problem)

Ok, no problem, … but any idea how to do it without his tool ?

If db exceeds 2gb, then even legacy binary files dont work

Yes Arty , … but is pain switching/comparing links and roads between two different software , … for what I need, it it is possible like that , but…
And, those are two completely different tools, Monstertool is for terrain/tiles/etc. , yes, you can even edit objectives … MC is more ‘campaign’ editor., no terrain work there/
Both are equally important. So… drat , better wait for…

Hello guys. After some time I am back on creating airbase models. But it seems TE v3.7.0 has some problems. I cannot used Objective Lab tab. When I open the te_new it gives the error" subscript out of range" and “cannot open HDR file”. Do you guys have any idea about this problem?

I dont know which theater you tried, but I belive your koreaobj.hdr is not ok…Try to open stock korea.

I tried to open stock theatre KTO. I dont have any problem Falcon. Somehow I damaged the hdr file probably. Do you know any way to fix that?
-
Is there someone else who had similar problem? Also, uninstalling and reinstalling did not solve my problem. I also had " L2 not found" problem but relaunch of the TE fixed this problem.

Hi Monster, i want to ask one thing. When i open the map in Sakis Gkiokas terrain editor (3.7.0)
-> open 3d terrain
-> then make some elevation changes
-> commit by alt+s
-> save L2 file
-> exit terrain editorAfter save i can’t see any changes in Falcon BMS game but when i open terrain editor again the changes are there….
Pls what i’m doing wrong or what i missed? Thx for answer. -
Open Terrain Editor Again! On the right side where you see the SAVE L2 box, underneath it there is a check box for deleting Temp files, check that box and then Save L2.

In your …/data/Terrdata/Korea/Terrain directory confirm that the file THEATER_POLAK.L2 carries a Date Modified datestamp which matches your edit date/time. Next, assuming this is good, there are 5 files ending .BIL .HDR .NRM .SBI .TID - manually delete them (this manually completes the action described by C9 above) then restart Falcon BMS to allow them to be rebuilt.
If your datestamp doesn’t look “correct” then you need to confirm your edited *.L2 is actually in the current working theater directory.

oh ye… deleting and rebuilding these files did that trick. Many thanks Malc and C9 !!!
