you must move your own guys, no way out
It’s an absolute MUST that I move my own forces ? Seems more immersive, I’ll just have to start remembering where and whom I’m moving.

Yes, you must unchek “Set by HQ” at units one by one previously to giving them the movement order.- I think an option to check and uncheck that Set by HQ mode, for all or some batch of units, instead of doing it individually, should be very useful.-

I agree

Just wanna be sure that I understand correctly. For the Iron Fortress campaign player intervention is mandatory in order to progress ? Or will it progress on its own eventually (maybe just slower) thru the campaign engine if left on its own ?
Thx

JBIf left on it’s own the units will be consolidating most of the time and they will barely move. Since the campaign is only 5 days long, not enough time for the AI to move them into Seoul and end the war. I wonder if there is a way to track the move points ?

I see. I wonder if that is the case with the other Korean campaigns as well, if they must be helped along too? Perhaps the short timeframe of Iron Fortress is just too demanding for the campaign engine.
Personally, I prefer the notion of flying and leaving the strategy to the engine, but I fully get that others enjoy the wargame aspect too.

I think is important to take control over ground units, as the AI is not enough smart and aggresive and so you may loose the ground war by not reaching on time the campaign objectives

Are you sure about that? If I recall correctly, it was this way in 4.33, but in 4.34 this is not true anymore: if I click on an unit, the white destination circle appears, and if I drag the circle somewhere, the “set by HQ” box is toggled off (and the white border indicating this appears around the unit).

Is that a general statement or is it particular for Iron Fortress? If it is a general statement, then the campaign engine is not working, is that what you mean ?

Good tip, thanks, I didnt noticed that.- It works as you said, except some AA units which still require unchecking “set by HQ” before ordering to move

I find that moving the units adds more flavor to the campaign and juices up the war. Also imagine moving 2 battalions near a whole unit of tanks and you frag a CAS to smooth their move to the objective. Makes it more realistic.

I noticed that yesterday.

Only applies to the KTO, I noticed it is not working at the Balkans theatre
