Increase ACMI size
-
I have a problem with my ACMI file size. My recordings are only a minute long. I have tried to increase size from the settings page and I can only increase it to 1000 MB. Any suggestions? Thanks

Well, part of the size used is determined by the number of units/objects …. more units, bigger file size sooner, lower file time.
That said, I can usually get a pretty heavy 1-1/2 hour campaign or TE flight on 2 or 3 ACMI segments … each one ~150MB. My BMS setting is at 120MB.
I suspect something else other than the file size setting is the cause. Specifically something turning off the ACMI after about 1 minute. What command do you use to set the ACMI to record?

I did 200MB and the worst I got was 2 files. I set it to 500MB and TacView choked on the file, crashing a lot. There is a new merge file feature anyway so try 200-300MB and you shouldn’t get more than 2 files normally.

I could be wrong but if i remember correctly i had this problem in the beginning and the problem was exactly TacView.
Try to uninstall TacView and dissociate any files with TacView and it should work correctly. -
ok, I will try that

Wait, are you getting one recording of a minute or several one minute files in a row? The AVTR switch is 3-position, off-auto-on. In the auto position you only get a preset (set in config) recording chunk at every weapon event.

Well, technically you dont need a weapon event to trigger recording in AUTO, just depressing the trigger to the first detent.

Yes, this is exactly what is happening. It seems to be recording during dogfights only. Thanks
