>80° FOV?
-
Hi,
Do you know a way to fly with more than 80° of FOV? My screen is 4K and I believe I could still read the MFDs at more than 80° FOV.Thanks in advance.

set g_fMaximumFOV 80 // Limits the maximum amount that the FOV can be increased
In the …/User/Config/Falcon BMS.cfg file.
-
… maybe we should add more values in regular F4Patch option (configurator).
-
If that could reveal to be useful and not difficult so much for you devs., so why not?
With best regards.

Don’t forget the BMS-Technical-Manual has an explanation of each config option, e.g. page 155 for the line quoted by Malc above

Thanks, everyone. Now flying with 100° FOV.

the command lines you can use in “falcon_bms.cfg” file (add or edit with editor)
set g_fMaximumFOV (your value) // Limits the maximum amount that the FOV can be increased
set g_fMinimumFOV (your value) // Limits the minimum amount that the FOV can be decreased
set g_fDefaultFOV (your value) // Default FOV - at 3D cockpit entry -
Not sure if it would need to go all the way to something added into the configurator as FOV is literally a set it and forget it bit for configuring your setup. Some people will need to modify it like myself as triple screen setups the default FOV is a non starter and some like the OP just want to mess with it but either way once you get the setting where you like it then it just stays there.
