The next step will be an EFB for the Polar Vortex Theater due the fact that the next story of our virtuell squadron will take place there.
But maybe there will come more….

I am happy to hear you like the EFB. It was a lot of work but it was worth it.@ all
As Keule mentioned, we are now working on the Polar Vortex EFB. It is nearly finished.@arbee
Thank you for the information. I will check the new verion of the vault.@Flow32
Thank you. I fixed it and it will be in the new version.

Caution !
This PDF does strange things to my computer (mouse behavior and other strange issue) that I’ve read about relating to virus/ malware and which I’ve never personally encountered with my own PC.
Don’t know what causes it and the only thing that I did was play with the related EFB file.
Not accusing but sharing my own experience. -
Hey Ploaris1,
Thanl you for the information. I checked the PDFs with a virus programm and there was no virus or malware deteced.
Regards Anvil
-
I also checked the EFB and no maleware or virus could be found.
Can another user confirm the issues reported by Polaris1?
@Polaris1: Does the problem occur while the EFB is in use, or did you have the problems already once you downloaded it to your PC? Until now there is no similar issue reported and the EFB has been testet by our Squadron since September.
I really would like to figure out what caused the problem.

Zero problems here on Linux & win7.
Cheers & thanks much for putting this file together!

The PDF is not not password locked.
I added pages to it.
2 Pages.
Then saved it.
Then all hell broke loose.
The pages had no scripts and nothing but low resolution images.
Never had issues with editing PDfs. -
No issues at all!
Thanks for this brilliant tool! -
Also no problems… working smooth. But also did not make any changes.
@POLARIS1
In this case it is like all the time with BMS… if you modify the stuff you got you will have to handle the troubles caused by yourself on your own. -

Never had issues with editing PDfs.In this case we can’t really help you if you make individual changes in the EFB. Maybe one oft the hundreds links getting confused if you change the order of the pages.
And I want to substantiate that there is no malware or virus in the EFB!!!

Another is adding 2 simple pages to an open PDF is nothing like a sim software and by no means should bring a powerful PC to its knees including extensive cleaning.
I am not implying anything but sharing my own experience with something that never took place with s rather stable computer. -
New Version 1.03 is released, see 1st post.
We added more charts on the “Flight Info” chapter, especially useful for people who use a tablet in combination with a pen to write directly in the EFB.
Enjoy….

Wohoo …. But i neither use a tablet nor a pen
-
This is amazing! Thank you guys so much for putting this together.
I’ve noticed that the links for Kwangju all end up with the charts for Kangnung. See below for example.
-
May I ask what software you used to create the EFB ?
Also, maybe it is possible to share the source in order for us to adapt it for our squadron ? (different RWR / MAR distances…) I would really love to do that -
Appears built in powerpoint, saved as a PDF with links enabled. Quite the work of art.

I am not implying anything but sharing my own experience with something that never took place with s rather stable computer. One possibility is that you did nothing that caused the issue nor did the PDF authors. PDFs are not simple as there are different versions from different years, there are different flavors, there are different properties that can be included or not, Adobe PDFs are not exactly the same as Microsoft PDFs are not exactly the same as Apple PDFs are not exactly the same as specialized PDF software documents (like PDF Architect).
Editing a PDF (or any complex document) that becomes corrupted and crashes the editing app could mess with your computer. Just my experience. Luckily this is rare, but it has happened to me and others as well. What a pain.
Try different editing software. The best option is to obtain the document in its original format and edit that. Both strategies have worked for me.

Hello everyone,
What is the most effective way to use this amazing tool on ipad 3(İOS 9)? I am having a bit of trouble. Do I need a better Ipad?
-
mhm, on my iphone, I have downloaded acrobat reader to open the pdf. It seem to work smoother than letting default Apple stuff handle it
-
Thanks Quasi_Stellar, unfortunately most of PDF readers are not compatable with IOS 9 anymore. That is the problem:)
