EdTracker in BMS ???
-
I have just bought and built latest EdTracker but cannot work out how to apply it in BMS 4.34.
Any help appreciated.

Hi weepop,
You must use it together with Opentrack.
There are also some Youtube videos about the settings and the pseudo 6 DOFs.
If you need more information, just let me know.
Greetz,

“Ed Tracker” I went to school with him … he seemed to follow me round every where I went ………… LOL
-
As Tweety stated. EDTracker is a device, you need a software to translate the signal for BMS. Even so EDTracker has it’s own software AFAIK remember whick emulates a 3DOF joystick, for BMS you need a software that emulates the TrackIR protocol. Indeed this software is opentrack and is even decribed on the EDTracker homepage

Greetz,
TweetyThanks Tweety I now have that working but struggling with the axis mapping. Brownba settings don’t help as he has EdTrack pro and mine only DIY kit.
Can you help with these settings? -
Isn’t the Pro just a preassembled DIY Version?
-
No very different, seperate user manuals

Can you help with these settings?Hello weepop,
I also have the preassembled Pro version.
But I will post my settings tomorrow. Today is family day/evening
Hope that works for you.
Greetz,
TweetyEdit: Our newborn needed some attention from mummy, so I took the time to power up the pit and took some screenshots of my settings. In case you need the profile as file just let me know.
And here we go …. (or fly ;-))I added X-Axis also to Roll to kind of look arround the HUD. And I mapped shifted buttons for zoom in and out on my HOTAS
:bolt:Edit2: Of course you need to enable head tacking within BMS: Setup -> Advanced Settings -> View Control

Thanks again Tweety , that was a great help but I have gone a step further and added Pseudo 6DOF after watching a Utube video. Its now very good.
Just one more thing I would like to do to make even better is to have the option of my POV hat working if I stop tracking. It worked fine before I added head tracking but now does nothing.
Any ideas how…anyone…?? -
Just started using this amazing device after I kinda found it shelved and almost forgot about it.
It took a little time to work it out
Based on a Arduino board I first installed Arduino software, just to be sure.
The ED tracker GUI installed as well, it is important that the GUI sees the device on one of it’s com ports.
After that is solved, Opentrack needs to find the device as well.
That is what took me some time and watch a few tuts on youtubethis one was very helpful to me in understanding how it communicates:

Any ideas how…anyone…??Glad you figured it out. Why do want to have the POV option. In my case I always have head tracking enabled. Sometimes (e.g. for landings), I pause head tracking (via Shoot, so no key needed).
But so far no idea how to get both. I think even if Opentrack is not running, you can’t use POV.
But maybe someone else has a good idea.
Have a great evening,

TweetyThanks Tweety but I have cracked it.
POV only works in Orbit and Satelite views and not 3D pit, but if I switch to Snap Cockpit view it then works.
