Rafale C "retrofit"
-
But , I still don’t know which software to use for my 1st steps as pit engineer … And where to find it .
Can somebody help me ?
Gather a lot of pics from the cockpit. Get 3ds max (preferably 2013/2014 untill we get a new exporter) Go here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?7712-PinkyandBrains-Beginners-guide
Here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?6009-3DS-Max-Exporters-for-BMS and start reading!
Then you can try to make a cokpit -
Thanks Manos !
Do you know who’s the creator of the Mirage 2000-5 pit ?
Maybe I’ll have to contact him(her? Maybe) , soon or later …
-EDIT- After a little research , I find a name : Topolo
Is that him ?
-
IIRC , M2000 pit is Buzzz.
-
I didn’t understand well : U mean that all the Mirage 2000 pits are made by Buzzz ? Even the 2000-5 variant ?
-
I think so.

Mirage 2000 cockpits are made by Buzzz. All of them. But they were updated by Mousquetaires Squadron 5/25 and myself.

To talk frankly , I’m thinking about modifying a M2k5 pit into a more “Rafal-ish” fashion (of course, if I can get the permission from the author) because :
1/ I lack the experience and technical capability to build one of my own from scratch ; I think it may be less difficult for me to start my 1st try by modifying an existent one .
2/ I think that pit has all I need to do the job , and that it could be done without too much work .I’m thinking about:
a/resizing one or 2 MFD screens (the central MFD would be my priority) , and relocate them slighty
b/ Altering slightly the shape of the HUDIf I could do it, I’m sure the result could be great , along the retrofit we have already done on the plane .
It will not be an accurate Rafale pit and I don’t want to , because I really don’t have enough money to mess with Dassault Aviation’s Lawyers
But I sense it could really improve the immersive feeling once seated in the Rafale/Mirale pit .
Do you guys think it could be done ?

Hello,
Frankly, I do not want to take the risk to raising interest of anybody of anyone with a Rafale cockpit in our software.
History proved that an exterior model was the last frontier not to cross without Dassault Aviation approval.
So, talking from a dev point of view, I will disapprove any support to a cockpit support for this fabulous fighter.

Thanks for speaking frankly .
To be honest , I’ve guessed since start of this thread that u an some others were very reluctant to help me with on this project .
I understand why now . Maybe u should have told me that since start ? It’s been a(very…:() long since I’m a child, I would have understand you know .
That’s no problem .
The only thing that bother me a little bit is that you are taking for a fact that I won’t be able to see the “red line” , not to cross to avoid issues with Dassault .
I can tell you that I’m , and that’s partly the reason why I have submitted you my little project without hiding anything , whereas I could have been acting the sneaky way …
not to cross without Dassault Aviation approval
So I will do with Dassault . I’ll submit them the idea and even pictures of my intended project, so they can point me what I must not do , and I’ll deal with what they permit me to deal with (if they permit smtg !) I’ll insist on the fact I only want to modify smtg very different from their beloved baby, and that the result will be very different to it too ,they’ll have picture to verify that. After all, it’s their plane …
At the very end they will let me do something .
I’m not crazy , dear Radium
But I thank you anyway , because I know what you told me is for avoiding me and BMS some big problem .
I don’t want problems, nor I want BMS have problems too . I’ll be very careful .I think the problem with Rollus was that he was too good at modelling .Plus, I’m not sure he requested their approval before starting his project . He must have developped his project , then finally asked the permission of Dassault … which was a bit to late. He should have worked “hand to hand” with them .
But , Rollus being Rollus , he probably wanted to do the most accurate pit as possible, as freely as possible(as usual, reason why his work has always been so much appreciated by FSX community) , and yes, an accurate pit of Rafale is indeed the line not to cross …
I u look on the internet , you can find Rafale pits …
But theses are quite low quality(they are only “evocations”), reason why Dassault didn’t felt endangered… I would like l to go that way .
Waiting for that moment, I’ll train with modelling from scratch, which will give me the experience I need, while flying my little Mirale with a 100% M2k5 pit .Then …
Thanks you, I pretty much appreciate person that talks honestly(even if I had to push them in the corner first )

alright… it’s my careless fault (again). slot order fixed in lod and parent.dat .

Link is down
Now I can make some instructions and zip pack.
Stand by…Can’t wait !
I’d love to have a M2000-5 cockpit for the Rafale too but the wingmodel part had me lost haha

Look for the thread entitled "From Rafale-16 to Mirale-5 "
