Nothing spectacular, just a few screenies I’d like to share with the most excellent BMS community while I’m setting up a completely new gaming rig on win10 (yeah, I pulled my pants all the way down and pointed my rear end in Redmond’s general direction) from scratch.
FTNoIR works, BMS works, I was able to migrate my keyfile (device sorting was the same as on win7 before) thanks to careful & tedious DX-programming each and every button, using Kolbe’s excellent key file editor as a baseline when I was still on win7. Dual-booting Linux Mint 19.3 works nicely, that was one of my biggest concerns when deciding to set up a new gaming rig.
Don’t you just love fps in BMS beyond the hundreds? I’m aware they’re bound to drop during busy campis and TEs, but for now I’m a happy camper.
Things still left to install / configure:
o komurcu’s Android ICP
o Voice Attack with a proper profile (I hope I’ll be able to profit from win10 pro’s english speech recognition engine)
o YAME64 / RTT client
o my ancient, but well-loved bms launch scriptAll the best & many thanks to the community and the devteam for keeping the dream alive!
Uwe
PS: New specs: amd ryzen 3700X / MSI X570 A Pro mobo / 32 GB RAM / nv 1070ti (re-used from my old gaming rig) / 2 x 1 TB Samsung SSDs (will install a few more drives over the days as I migrate them over from my old gaming rig)

First “proper” maiden BMS flight on the new rig now that I have more or less all the old & usual tools back in action. Using my “A2A Training” mission my AI wingie and me had some fun with the first pair of hostile MiG-21s, then we headed for the tanker and I was quite pleased to find out I can still do AAR offline & when not under pressure (only fell off the boom twice :))
The new machine works great, great fun to fly in this beautiful creation by the DevTeam. Keep up the great work!
All the best,
Uwe
