A Guide to Morphine’s Profile for BMS 4.33 and Beyond
-
Hi Gastone, yes my problems are the ones you mentioned.
I am not sure the solution you mention is relevant to my case since I have Windows 7… and from what I know, Windows store exe file appeared only with Windows 8 and later….
I will try the Alternative Launcher app and report back.
ThanksHave you tried using the event viewer to see what’s conflicting with target?
https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/identify-software-conflicts-system-log.htmlOr making sure power saving for USB is off and disabled for the hotas?

It’s a new version of target for the airbus stuff. Both versions of the profile should still work. All they did was add support for the new TCA to target. If the profile works for you as is, no need to update target. If it is working for you I would actually recommend not upgrading target, since it can be so unpredictable.
The only reason there are two profile is Version 5.XX excludes the TPR pedals from the script. The only reason I’ve kept Version 4.xx in the dropbox is because if you run a old version of target, with Profile 5, target throws an error and the script doesn’t work. I will be dropping support for version 4 the next time the profile is updated.

Am I missing the FLAPS switch in your profile for the HOTAS?
What do you all use for setting flaps?
Also, many of the functions are working fine in the profile but the SpeedBrakes have no function set in the controls?

Flaps are handled by the FLCS. No switch on the real HOTAS

Got it!
Any reason why my speed brake throttle switch is not functioning?
Thanks!

Probably because something isn’t properly configured on your end. Did you set up device sorting? Is target working? Look at the first page most of the trouble shooting is covered there. If you can’t figure it out post pics of your devicesorting.txt contents and list what devices in your joystick control panel with the profile running. There’s also pics of the button functions both on the first page and in the Dropbox.

This is the only entry I have in “DeviceSorting” under the User/Config folder in BMS:
{FFFF044F-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “Thrustmaster Virtual Game Controller (root)”

Virtual root means that the target script has failed to run properly. Review the rest of the thread, You’re not the first person with this problem.

Well, I’ve given up for now.
Now I remember why I deleted TARGET of my old PC…
Tired every suggestion here though out the past 26 pages and nothing has fixed the Warthog HOTAS controller showing up as (Root) device.
Such a shame that I have to just program in sim now and hope for the best.

Did you make the virtual root entry the first one at the top of the document?? That was my problem and then I got it to work. Mine says in-game virtual root controller as well and everything works just fine.
It should look like this. If you have the Pendular Rudder pedals leave the entry as is and copy and paste into the appropriate directory. If not what ever pedals you use need to be second and the virtual root controller needs to be first at the top. Do this and it will work, unless you tried it already. Ignore everything else there except the thrustmaster entries and virtual root controller. I don’t know if the letters mean the ports or not but yours needs to be in that format.

I don’t have anything else show up like you do in the files just the single virtual root entry…
Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve tried it it is the only entry I have and half of the HOTAS functions are unmapped in Game.
-
Did u load the keyfile in game?

Try uninstalling and re-installing the drivers, it could possibly be that you hooked up the HOTAS before the installation required them to be plugged in?? Then make sure the DeviceSorting file is done correctly with no spaces in the top and then load the profile in game. It should work if done right, I had a hard time at first too.

Yes, I made that initial mistake on my new PC (plugging in HOTAS before being asked) so I completely uninstalled the drivers and software and reinstalled using a different USB Port when prompted to plug in the hotas.
Still did not fix the issue and yes I’ve loaded the keyfile in game per instructions…
About half of the stick and throttle functions work the other half have no keys assigned.

Load the keyfile in game per the instructions on the first page. 2, kill the windows store, uninstall the teamspeak joystick plugin.

Kilo,
I fixed this problem on my Windows 10 PC by going to settings/apps/apps & features. There click on microsoft store and advanced options and turn off background apps under app permissions. I haven’t had the issue since. -
With Morphines Profile for 4.33 and beyond, is the Paddle on the throttle just for centering TIR, and if held, turning off Auto pilot? Reason I ask, I am in the TFR training mission, and it says to use the paddle switch to cancel fly up. With this profile, what is programmed to do that function?
