TQS not working after installing hall sensor
-
Hey all,
I got my vipergear hall sensors today and after installing them I have the following issues:
Throttle has no input
Stick x-axis doesn’t register down movement.Any insight would be appreciated.

Check the pcb and see if it the 5v version… info on how to check is on the vipergear site in the install guide as well as how to bypass the resistor that limits it to 2.5v . Also make sure the magnets are close enough to the sensor… the voltage drops as the magnet moves away.

Thanks I just got through doing the jumper wire and nada. It’s got a 17K S/N

one thing to check is are you using CCP?? If so did you set a deadzone in the throttle?? If so don’t it makes the sensors not work properly… I found that out in the Sticks Sensors so maybe similar with the throttle…

No dead zone was ever set. Waiting on a replacement magnet

I just went through a similar issue after installing a hall sensor upgrade in mine. I have the v5 pcb and it was doing the exact same thing. I took it back apart and noticed that the throttle cable connector was one pin too far to the right and the axis were not reading the correct inputs. I unplugged it and made sure their was a pin for each of the outside wires and that fixed the problem. I hope that helps!

Thanks. I am waiting on the replacement magnet from Vipergear and I have converted the TQS to a stand alone USB using Leo Bonard XU0836X board. Once I get the new magnet I’ll drop it in and take another look at things. Right now the issue I have is calibrating it and the drift in the microstick.

Did you fix it? Judging by your microstick issue, I’d say you need to remove the device from “devices and printers” in the control panel. Then disconnect the USB, reconnect, let Windows detect and install. Then you should be good to go. I had the same problem. microstick axis were offset which caused constant drift. The throttle was not full range, about 60%. After I removed the device etc, the cursor axis are centered and I get full throttle deflection.

Tried it and still running into the issue. it’s a replacement microstick from delat sim too
