I also have this problem.
I have the BMS installation on “D:\Falcon BMS 4.34”.
Also I am unable to open “Config.exe”
Can you guys help me. Thank you. Regards.

I have the same problem. I think it’s because it was made for 4.34.3 (Which is U3) and not for 4.34.4 U4. Not sure, I have not fixed mine yet.
After changing to Balkans it says it will manually restart. When bms closes I reopen it in hope of it being the balkans but I get (this) then it quits -
Are movies disabled? You can right click on the shortcut for BMS, go to properties, and in the target box after the quotation marks type -nomovies then click apply and ok. Try to start the game again. Also, make sure the intro movie is unchecked in the config.

If none of that works, remove the Balkans theater from you install and make sure the theater.lst file has the line removed and try to reinstall it after you launch BMS to put it back into KTO.
On a side note, does Israel work? It uses the same installer as the Balkans. The install should automatically point to your BMS install. You should not have to change anything. Just click install and let it go.

I Have tried almost every theatre. Nothing works. Lines and everything. I get the same issue everytime. Do you have a discord? I can show you.

This is an update issue… If you launch Falcon BMS, in the lower right, you can see your installed version:
According to that crash file, you are NOT running either 4.34.3 (U3) or 4.34.4 (U4), you are running base 4.34.0 with no updates. You need to update your Falcon BMS version - Follow the instructions in this post to Update BMS (don’t mind version mismatch, same method for years and years):

Unfortunately, your attachments can only be viewed by you (don’t feel bad, it’s a common problem, and it’s not an intuitive system) – check out this post on how to use an image hosting site to get a link you can share here to show images: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?17569-Wallpapers&p=553824#post553824
The only image that I can see is this:
Which shows that you have 4.34.0 Build 19631

https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?13273-How-to-install-BMS-4-32-U4It’s important to follow the update method closely, it is not common among PC gaming, and can be finicky if you do not follow each step correctly. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and we’ll all try to help you out, but carefully first read and try to follow that post linked above. Again, best wishes and good luck to you!

Hello SemlerPDX,
i have installed Flacon for more then 10 Years now so the only thing changed here is that i went to Windows10
used the same install method but somehow the installer tells me that the updates are installed… only when i start BMS it says 4.34.0
So now i have found a solution to the problem, in another thread i saw that someone was talking about the SETUP.VER file.
i deleted that one and then i could install the updates again. that worked ! so now BMS tells me version 4.34.4 in the main screen.
Next Balkans installed, now it works like a charm !
I think the problem was that windows had some files READ only in the BMS directory ?
Thanks again for your time (i did now see the 4.34.0 in the main screen!!) -
So glad you found a way around that! What a curve ball, eh?
Windows 10 can have some quirks regarding some installers, and executables. My SOP when I download a new program from a trusted source is to first Right-Click on the .exe (or .msi; etc), then select Properties, then look to see if it has an empty checkbox for Unblock - and to check that box and hit OK. It’s also important to disable any 3rd party antivirus such as Avast, McAfee, etc. and to add an exception for any new program once installed.
And that’s just one of the tricks you get to learn in Win10. There are more… backup often, always create a restore point before updating, and be ready to get more hands on with your OS at any time. Win10 is great, and it’s a pain in the neck at the same time.
