F4 BMS 4.35 and Display extraction with RTTConfig
-
Now data extraction for MFDs and other instruments is done via the RTTclient.
The configuration must be done Manually, which is less comfortable than before.
I have created software to do this: RTTConfig. You just have to position the instruments on your screen and save the configuration.

Thank you Sir, that will help many ppl saving them some time!

Thank you very much for this Tool. It spares my a lot try and error during the configuration :D.
-
Thank you all for your messages. Iâm glad this software makes it easy for you to configure and use RTT. That was the goal : " splash one"

Thanks mate! Can the gauges / MFDs be resized on the fly as well? A very useful tool indeed!
All the best,
Uwe

Sorry Hoover but Itâs not possible. The software is designed to position and resize displays before launching RTT.
-
Oh, thatâs ok, thatâs the way YAME handles it as well. Iâll try your tool for the MFDs and report back. Thanks again!
All the best, Uwe

Yep, works very nicely as intended. It would be great if the resize wouldnât work around the center, but from the side / edge youâre trying to resize but thatâs no biggie. Thanks for creating this tool!
All the best,
Uwe

Thank you for this tool.

Great tool, thanks.
Is it possible to add the HSI to the list of exports? My old eyes need the seniors version on the second screenâŠ

Sorry, it 's not possible actually because HSI isânt in the list of displays. RTT displays âonlyâ HUD, DED, PFL, MDF L, MDF R, RWR and HMS.

MFDE includes all cockpit instruments working with 4.35. For MFDâs it may suffer the same random freezes as RTT does due to the same shared memory reading

just curious how do you shut off rtt client in bms? seems I have to control alt delete every time to shut it down to reprogram it.
Also Oak Design 4.35 does not work with Lightenings mfd extractor for MFDS. if you got yours working please let me know because I have not been able to get them to work. -

Also Oak Design 4.35 does not work with Lightenings mfd extractor for MFDS. if you got yours working please let me know because I have not been able to get them to work.I build mine from the source code and the version Iâm using works for 4.35 and 4.34.
If you are using the current release version of 0.6.3.0 than you have to add
set g_bDoubleRTTResolution 1
to your falcon bms.cfg
or you can try
my build
https://drive.google.com/file/d/177VhX_kTKOSL9vjobD7fzHGk2GupigrP/view?usp=sharing
it is build as a portable version so doesnât come with an installer. Just unzip to any folder you want and start the MFDEExtractor.exe. Can be used tested even witout uninstalling the MFDE version you have currently installed. To easily identity the versions is if on the MFD / HUD option page you still have the option for MFD #3 and #4 you are using a version that needs the g_bDoubleRTTResolution to be part of the config.
If the config page only shows Left/right and HUD itâs buil from the latest source code and works with 4.35 out of the box
Left is old source code, right is new source code -
Your discussion would be more readable and more beneficial to the community in a dedicated thread e.g: âMFDE and F4 BMS 4.35â
RTTConfig only concerns RTT remote.
My two cents.

There is a way to get the «MFD images» overlay (from RTT or MFDE) when using a Print Screen?
Pretty screen shot option On or Off doesnât help. The MFD image overlay never appear in my output pictureâŠI need to get the MFD images output within the âPrint screenâ for technical documentation requirements and the âMFD Extractionâ inside the main Falcon BMS 3D screen should give me a very clean PNG image output of the MFD. If I remember, this was possible in the past, but I am unable to do this in BMS 4.35 U1.
Thanks for your help.

Iâm pretty sure I didnât work before as well. Why should it ever Printscreen is using BMS internal screenshot. BMS itself doesnât even know that a display Extraction tool is running at all. So in order to get a screenshot with overlays you might wanna use the Operating system Printscreen instead
