VIRPIL configuration.
-
Hello Forum.
AS we know both 4.34 and 4.35 can co-exist on a computer and I have both loaded. I’m using 4.34 for some useful training missions I have created.
My VIRPIL Alpha grip is fully configured on 4.34 and is working well. I tried ALSO to configure the grip to 4.35.
The axes are registering on the VIRPIL configuration tool, and ALSO on the BMS DX system with 4.35.
The BMS DX, however is registering button presses as “No Function Assigned” and will not assign functions.
Am I correct in thinking that BMS DX will operate on only in 4.34 OR 4.35, I can’t have both?? NOTE: my SAITEK throttle is recognised on both 4.34 and 4.35.
Thanks,
Bayonet.

Thanks,
Bayonet.I use AL 1.53 for 4.34, 1.60 for 4.35 and they are totally different entities, would using AL be a working solution for the Virpil?

Thanks Icer, good idea.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaah …
have you considered the ORDER (nr 1 nr 2 nr 3) of devices in your
{204603EB-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “RIGHT VPC Stick WarBRD”
{205403EB-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “LEFT VPC Throttle MT-50 CM”
{205403EB-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “LEFT VPC Throttle MT-50 CM”
{205403EB-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “LEFT VPC Throttle MT-50 CM”
{0A3816D0-0000-0000-0000-504944564944} “MFG Crosswind V2”NEW !!!
DeviceSorting.txt file ???
same happened to me
PS: Virpil (WarBRD) is fly-feel-PORN good sheet honestly . respect big time. I think BAUR had a
devine moment as he came up with that yeeeeeears ago… before it became part of VirpilWhat i did was … use the “weak springs” for roll (as your muscles are stronger in pitch pull feeling), and the NO-deadzone CAMS… for the pitch axis i used the STRONGER SRPINGS with the “little dead-zone feel cams” … purrrfect :
And a little “tipe” … add this line to your config file
“set g_nAxisExp_AXIS_PITCH 5 // Axis exponential curve. Should be in 0 - 100 range. 0 is disabled (default)”
only 5! not more… tell me how flying feels then
Sidenote, in case you did not know: the Virpil throttles has way way over (32 button max per device >> windows) keys… so you have to “split” the throttle to multiple devices in VIRPIL tool.

Hi A.S.
Many thanks for the comprehensive reply.
Regarding the splitting of the throttle, is that easily done?
Thanks again,
Bayonet.

Virpil’s setup software can do it automatically for you, IF you get the right version of their firmware. This means that you do not need Joystick Gremlin and things like that.
In later firmware versions, they have destroyed the possibility of dividing the throttle into several virtual devices. For some reason they think that is a smart move, see this thread for more information:

stupid to remove an OPTION, which works perfectly !

Yes, daft indeed. Why not simply amend the software?
Thanks again.
