Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated for BMS 4.35

Maybe worth learning it yourself
Copy panel from within an existing profile from one to another monitor

This is great. I’m a first time user to Helios and a beginner in Falcon. The install was a piece of cake. Everything worked and loaded first time!!
My issue is I don’t have a touch screen. So when I try and move my mouse over to the right it won’t go.
Is there a way in Helios to make screen 2 non-touchscreen?

Helios works fine with a mouse without changing any Helios settings Try setting g_bEnableExclusiveMouseCapture 0 in the “Falcon BMS.cfg” file in \User\Config\ to allow you to move the mouse onto the 2nd screen.

Just one thing IIRC the mouse capture only works in borderless or windowed mode

Just one thing IIRC the mouse capture only works in borderless or windowed mode
From the manual:
g_bEnableExclusiveMouseCapture
When enabled (1) this option captures the mouse when in 3D,
so that you don’t click something on the desktop when running
in windowed mode. Default is 1 (Enabled).
Available options: 0/1.Yes, that confirms what you just said, you need to be in Borderless or Windowed mode to be able to release the mouse, in Fullscreen 3D the mouse is permanently captured if I remember correctly.

@oakdesign could you send to me your final landing gear panel iPad profile?
If you can add here,I’ll very great full -
**Please Note:
Again from here on the thread goes off topic and relates entirely to extracting parts of the profile onto an iPad.
If you want to continue the original topic skip to Post 82 on Page 9.

Are you @oakdesign I am asking to him
why you are answering?
Because I feel that you are just expecting others to do the work for you instead of at least trying to do some for yourself. I think that @oakdesign has been giving you guidance with the expectation that you would then carry on by yourself.
To quote @oakdesign “Maybe worth learning it yourself” from his earlier post.

I am working over 10 hours 2 days if I can make it am I ask.
And finally I am not asking to you for help.
Dont bother me

First of all maybe calm down a bit. You should recognize that without the work of @linknet we wouldn’t have that great profile as he converted it for us to work as it is in it’s current state.
Here is the Profile I have shown with the full cockpit on one monitor and only the Landinggear Panel copied to a second monitor.

I doubt that just using that would solve your problem cause. You haven’t provided real meaningful information where / at which point you struggle to get the Tablet setup to work.
Have you followed the steps I posted in my fisrt basic setup video.
1. Are you able to move any windows application to the tablet and cotnrole it with touch inputs?
2. Are you able to start a profile on the tablet and send keystrokes to an active application such as Notepad or any text editor
If you are not able to achive that then it doesn’t make sense to go on with BMS as it won#t receice any inputs
3. If you can do 2. but don’t receive inputs in BMS
a) run BMS in windowed or borderless mode
b) run both BMS and HeliosControlCenter with administrative rights
c) double check that you are using the correct key file -
thank you very very much oakdesign you are very great person.:drink:
I am calm down an work will on your all advices tomorrow, its too late time for me.my eyes killing me now.
see you tomorrow I hope I can solve problem with you help

You haven’t answered a single question that I asked1. Are you able to move any windows application to the tablet and control it with touch inputs?
2. Are you able to start a profile on the tablet and send keystrokes to an active application such as Notepad or any text editor
If you are not able to achive that then it doesn’t make sense to go on with BMS as it won’t receice any inputs
3. If you can do 2. but don’t receive inputs in BMS
a) run BMS in windowed or borderless mode
b) run both BMS and HeliosControlCenter with administrative rights
c) double check that you are using the correct key fileIt’s hard to help without knowing at which part you might have a problem
So again
if you run the Profile with the Gear Panel on the tablet and you click on #1 does the HCMS panel #2 open?
if no,
than your tablet doesn’t even recognize touch inputs and that would have to be looked into first
if yes,
than your tablet setup at least receives touch input as opening the HCMS panel by clicking on 1#1 the keyfile is not involved yetconcerning the keyfile.
1. The keyfile referenced in the Helios Profile Editor has to be the one that you use in BMS as well
2. Your used keyfile must include all used callbacks that are used in the Helios profilethe last point is often where users fail.
As an example lets use the Landing light switch. In BMS there are multiple callbacks for the Landing light switch
in the default BMS key file only the red has a keyboard key assigned to it, but for Helios we need the 3 blue ones to have keyboard keys assigned.SimLandingLightInc
SimLandingLightDec
SimLandingLightUp (landing)
SimLandingLightMid (OFF)
SimLandingLightDown (taxi)
SimLandingLightCycle (new cycle)that’s why Helios Profile Developers distribute a keyfile with their profiles.
you need to ensure that you have all keybinds from the keyfile provided with the profile in the keyfile that you reference in the Falcon Interface and that this is the keyfile you use in BMS

Thanks again your help.My answers below
1 question answer:Yes I am dragimg tablet pushing and using windows app.
2 question answer:Profile starting on tablet but keystroke dont work
3 question answer:I am using İce profile key file or BMS full ey file anything wrong??? -
Ok before we go on with keyfile just some more questions
1. Are you using US layout keyboard or other Language
2. Are you using alternative Launcher (restricts the keyfile name that can be used) -
1.Using USA keybord
2.No,I am using Splashtop app for windows and iPad wired display app on iPad.I figured my right mouse working on my iPad which is 4th screen but my touch movement don’t work. And in your profile I am playing Sim on 1 monitor your profile using main screen for cockpit and blocking my game I can’t see
when I choose profile editor touch for buttons right mouse working on iPad when I choose swipe don’t work.
I don’t know why is working like that?
-
@oakdesign I figured my mouse cursor when I try touch my ipad is going there ,I think it doest has to be go there am I right?
-
I did as you suggested.
I get a mouse cursor on screen 2 that is in sync with the cursor on screen one and they move together.
However when you move the cursor over anything in the helios screen 2 and click the action is centered on screen 1. So i I higlight the landing gear in screen 2 and click, whatever is under the cursor in screen 1 is what is selected. If that makes sense.
For the output of screen 2 it says 1920x1080 and 3840x . Should there be two resolution?
In DCS I have to shift resolution to the 3840 as stated in the profiles.
Thanks
Doug
