Bug or feature? Chinese aircraft in the theater despite not having declared war
-
Update: I shot down two Su-30s. They did not seem to be interested in engaging me. They were not included in the kill count.
But if the Chinese aren’t interested in fighting, why is AWACS calling them out as hostile, why is AI engaging them and most impotantly, what are their Tu-16s doing in ROK airspace?
Sounds buggy to me.

Sounds like you caused a war with China

Even if, they lost 2 Su-30s and 2 Tu-16s to AI F-4s before, so they can’t blame me.

A hostile is not the same as bandit, where it’s surely enemy.

Update: China declared war. On day 2.

The other way round bandit is not hostile. If AWACS declares Hostile it can be considered as enemy

No wonder, they got pissed at you for downing their planes
-
Surprised this was not the scene when you arrived back to base.

Per Muti Service Brevity Codes Manual, I think you’re confusing Bandit/Hostile with Bogey

AWACS said hostile. AI engaged too. It’s not my fault I guess.

Prc is set to “friendly” (not part of team) with DpRK who is “at war” with ROK.
USA is set to “ally” (part of team) with ROK who is “at war “ with dprk.I think this is the key to the China entanglements that have China passively get shot by ai USA (or ROK) jets.
When China actually “joins war” this setting is changed to “China is part of team dprk “ from then on they will fight.Maybe if China is set to neutral until they join war?

If I had to blame someone, I’d blame the F-4s who shot down the first Chinese AC (2 x Su-30) or The Tu-16s who flew into ROK airspace (less than 40 minutes later).

SF wouldn’t roll that heavy…

The pic was captured as I spawned on the taxiway, not after landing.
I am comfortable flying with such loadouts in order to wreak as much devastation on enemy forces as possible. I have been called unorthodox a few times, but I’m OK with that.
I’ve been told many times in my life “you can’t do that” and my response is always, can too!
That’s how I came up with my call sign!

No blame intended from me, just trying to add to the humor that was derailing your post.

I often fly with 4 GBU-12 and 4 GBU-54.

Great. Now the Russians are doing it too. Something is broken here.
