Kuwait Theater tester version 2 (434U1)

Impressing, dear Goro.
Better, better and even better… you really care for all details, don’t you?
In those two last shots the area borders are still not ‘merged’ with the terrain, but the same they’re quite good. Can’t await to fly there after the DB will be updated, you can bet it.
With best compliments and regards.

Yes, as far as possible. I try to make the most of the textures from google maps of Iraq.
But I’m a bad Photoshop master, so it doesn’t always work out perfectly. Can’t await to fly there after the DB will be updated, you can bet it.
At the moment, the transfer of the database has been completed and the restoration of the location of the structure in: Cities, towns, villages, factories, intersections, radars, depots, military bases, power plants.
It remains to decide what to do with the airfields.

Rumaila oil fields.
Ohh ! JGSDF in Kuwait !

Nice, bro, and thanks for your detailed answers.
So please let me know when it’s ready - I will start testing, as first, all the airbases, just as I announced to you some time ago.
With best regards.

Ohh ! JGSDF in Kuwait !
In previous versions, it was an ordinary UH-1 with the texture of Iraq. After conversion, it became UH-1 JGSDF
-
Iraq flew Bell 214ST helicopters but no UH-1Hs - it’s somewhat similar but not quite the same.
The 214 is based on the 205 (UH-1) but has a much longer fuselage. But I guess a similarly painted UH-1H could do as well - it’s close enough not to be immersion breaking in my book? -
Dear Kuwait theater developpers,
I’m the developper of EZBoards, and i’ve been reported the following problem with a briefing file generated in Kuwait theater:
In the Weather section, the file generated in Kuwait theater differs from the standard format in the line for Visibility:
Contents from a regular Korea KTO briefing:
Conditions @ Take Off: Target Area: Landing: Situation: Fair Fair Fair Wind: 101 deg @ 14 kts. 101 deg @ 14 kts. 101 deg @ 14 kts. Visibility: 48km 48km 48km Temp: 24 deg C. 24 deg C. 24 deg C. Cloud Base: 5,000 ft MSL base 5,000 ft MSL base 5,000 ft MSL base Con Layer: 28,000 ft MSL base 28,000 ft MSL base 28,000 ft MSL base ```Contents from a Kuwait briefing:
Conditions @ Take Off: Target Area: Landing: Situation: Fair Fair Fair Wind: 133 deg @ 5 kts. 133 deg @ 5 kts. 133 deg @ 5 kts. 48 48 48 Temp: 12 deg C. 12 deg C. 12 deg C. Cloud Base: 5,000 ft MSL base 5,000 ft MSL base 5,000 ft MSL base Con Layer: 28,000 ft MSL base 28,000 ft MSL base 28,000 ft MSL base
As you can see, the word Visiblity is missing and the km units are missing too. The missing Visibility makes it unusable in EZBoards atm. I know this is not your problem, but just asking from one dev to another, is this something that is systematic? Is it intended? If not could it be fixed? (I dont have the Kuwait theater installed myself atm, so this is completely based on user feedback) Cheers, Logic

It looks like one of the older versions of theater. 64 segments are possible.
In the latest version of 128 segments, the briefing file has been updated to the 4.35 standard.

It might be useful if that link was in the first post? I submitted the EZBoards report, and I downloaded the theatre only last night from what appeared to be the most recent version in post 1 of this thread - indeed, the last update on it said, “Reason: 4.35 compatible” …

The 128 segment version of the Kuwait campaign as linked above seems to be missing all the kneeboard textures (7982.dds-7997.dds). I’ve copied them from the Kuwait theatre download from post 1, and that seems to be working.

I’m getting an error when going to the mediafire link:
"The key you provided for file access was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on MediaFire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or MediaFire.
Am I doing something wrong?

Updated the link in the first post.

“Standard” Iraqi airbase. (Lod by CCC1Tw)
Great stuff, and it looks merged better to the terrain… well done, dear Goro, keep on doing this way.
With best compliments and regards.

Updated the link in the first post.
Updated version, or just the link was updated?
Cheers Obi1

Amazing! I love a good custom airbase and the blending on this is really well done!
