Editing the .key file should be an easy (although time-consuming) task. If there are any problems, concerns, or questions, hit me up on the email provided in the instructions document.

Still hunting down some small bugs Ice, but its really a great tool !

That looks like a seriously good setup I would like to have active on my desk as well.
Could you talk about some details Shung?I still have this 24’ touchscreen waiting to be put to use.
-
well, its not rocket science
just have a 2nd monitor…
there, BMS exports the MFDs and DED… on top of the monitor I have 2 thrustmaster MFD’s… all the other instruments there are exported with MFD extractor… and finally, the ICP stuff on the Ipad is exported with IFlyBMS
-
And the iPad is the only “touch” in there?
-
I would think so… there isn’t much for “touch” necessity in the F-16’s instrument panel, and I got most of it on iFlyBMS. Maybe you could put the left/right consoles on the 24" and do a totally no-mouse rampstart?
Shung, curious how you mounted the iPad on the monitor though… and the MFDs too for that matter. I got mine double-sided taped to the monitor, but that is taped along two edges so it just flexes a bit when I use the OSBs that are away from the edge, but the MFDs don’t touch the monitor surface.
-
the iPad, and of course all the MFD’s OSB’s
All the other things are “instruments” which arent meant to be anything else or be touched, anyway.
the montinor is on a slight slope… id say something like 15°… so everything stays there by gravity… they cant move left or right, because as you see the hooks that are holding the monitor to m aker barnes cockpit are blocking them.
the Ipad (and its griffith neoprene case) just stands above the mfd’s, and the added weight helps keping the mfds rock steady…
everthing touches the monitor, but doesnt damage it at all anyway…

Made a donation for this perfect app.

Just bought an iPad, and I’m uber-willing to test this baby, or else, just let me know where to pay
-
can’t wait for the release…i already bought the MFD’s but am really waiting for the clickable ICP.
nothing is more frustrating than having to let go of the stick when egressing at 500 ft while dodging SAM’s just because i need the mouse to change STP… -
The wait is almost over guys. I’ve released a test version a few weeks ago and I think it is almost ready for public distribution. Just a few tweaks on the instruction manual to make sure everything goes smoothly during the install, then maybe a horizontal version for those who prefer flying that way. I will do the refining of the manual, but the horizontal version will be done later. Unfortunately, I have not been able to do much work on the other parts of the guide (RWR symbols, threat guides) since I don’t have much time between work and family.
I am on annual leave next week so hopefully I can do what needs to be done then, and release before the weekend so that you guys can have fun with iFlyBMS over your weekend flights.
To those with extra funds burning a hole in your pocket, donations are highly appreciated. You will find a link on my blog page (is it not working?), or hit me up with a PM. To those with no money, I am providing iFlyBMS for free although you will need to purchase an iPad app to use it.

iFlyBMS is now ready for public release! Enjoy!

Hi -Ice,
Great news. Thanks.
News has been posted, with some delay, on the FlightSimCommunity Facebook portal. -
I feel like saying thanks to myself, but Thanks!

Just gave it a go, unfortunately I’m having trouble with the key file, especially the ICP keys which you use are the radar cursor keys and so on, that’s screwing with my X52 config. Is there a way to reassign some of the keys in iFlyBMS?
For exaple, default ICP keys are Ctrl+Num1, Ctrl+Num2 and so on, and I’d like to keep those since they are toggle buttons and won’t have a sync problem like the landing gear handle does…Thanks for the great work though, I’m sure it will progress into a great piece of equipment

Nice work -Ice. It’s good to have some variety out there.
For those wanting a photo-realistic ICP which works on iPhone or iPad just click on the link in my sig.
In answer to some of the questions re MFDs you can do it on an iPad but it’s a more involved process to get it working and they’re obviously a bit smaller than the actual MFDs. I’ve tried both scenarios and I personally prefer using the iPad for input only as an ICP. The iPhone will work just the same but you obviously need to be very accurate when pressing the much smaller (virtual) buttons.
