MidEast theater 128 segments (for 4.35 U3)

Thanks for your hint, mate… so do you think that the issue may be somehow related with that place, am I correct?
I’ll see also if it happens in a single TE too, then.
To be continued…

there is no problems really except that if you want to bomb Al Asad you’ll run into SA11s at the base and its not clear at all which battalion they belong to.
-
I see.
Thanks for this too, mate.
At this point I guess to understand better what Goro commented about it, briefly but incisively at the same time: there must be an issue related to the campaign engine, to be resolved by the next Falcon updated - hopefully - just because this last specification.Oh, well… all the remaining things seem to work properly, at least.
With best regards.

I finally got the airbase. one snow drift and two SA-11s out of four were destroyed by SEAD hornets. The other two SA-11s were destroyed by me, one with HARM and one with Maverick. That gave room for my wingmen to bomb the airfield with no sweat. Four strikes of two runways. 8 out of 20 jets were downed by enemy and we downed 20 of theirs. The Sparkvarks weren’t that effective as three of the four got shot by SAs. I guess it’s much tougher without the glide bombs.
-
That’s the way to make a proper AB attack and things to be properly done, dear Alfred.
But I’m making myself more clear, then.
I’m asking again (to myself) about those SparkVarks: what was their skill setted (novice, veteran, what else?)?
If known by you, what was their plan and how many time have been planned to do their ECM tasks? At at what altitude and from what distance from the SAM battalion(s), most of all?It should have been a long trip, that, however. How many times have you refueled? And at which point (going, back, both?)
My apologies, but I’m a native curious guy, please understand and forgive me for that…
With best compliments and regards.

Thank you for your questions Jackal which are quite inspiring. All flights and packages were at Ace level. The SparkVarks flew at 11000 feet but they flew right into the airfield and their flight plan included points a little further than the airbase. I wonder if that was the mistake that got them shot? should they be flying on the edges of the target? and their task was to do ECM and remain in the target area. Didn’t refuel but I was very low on fuel when flying back to home plate, like around 2000lbs of fuels when I called for landing. I had two HARMs and two Mavs with a central fuel tank. From from Arar to AL Asad. I thought we smacked the base pretty well given there were two runways.

Dear Alfred,
thanks a lot for all these new details - and your kind appreciation for all those questions of mine, by the way.
Well, you should have already realized that with this last one of yours you have concluded a nice debriefing session as i’ts due, shouldn’t you?About its contents… what I made you to state only confirms all what bad I’ve thought, or already knew better instead (it’s only campaigns engine’s fault, don’t worry), and is the precise demostration of all what sure will go wrong if those choices have been made.
In my custom missions (this told just to make an example, and not for my pride, please let me be absolutely clear on that), I never dared to make such severe errors.
I will make this topic short, but please take some of these custom TEs I created for some recently released theaters, and examine them about what it has been planned for the ECM flights (if there are any, of course).Well, it was a happy ending… this time.
And after a two or three attempts only, not too bad - except for all those poor guys of the former flights, of course.Keep on this way, mate. You’re doing good, if I dare to say.
With best regards.
-
I think I will have to copy a picture of the debriefing for reference. I did notice some unfixed bugs these include bad runway assignment at
1-Al Taqaddum
2-Mudaysis
3-Al Sahra
4-Balad
also, something very strange at H2 airbase, I flew with four ships and bombed all the possible runways with 8 GBU 10 AP but after landing the airbase was still fine and operational although it was mission success and runaway sections were completely destroyed! is it possible that even sections need to be destroyed? although same bombing technique did work with al-asad base. The bug of rotated FCR is still there and it comes sometimes when the TGP is selected instead of SMS in the AA mode. But it shows only once during the entire flight. Here is how it looks: -
Interesting also this, mate.
Please do it, if still possible of course - but about all the rest, I’ll leave to Goro the talk.
Maybe it’s even not his theater’s fault.
With best regards.

if you mean the FCR appearance then yes it’s not theater related. This showed up on the first BMS release that included a page of TGP that came with black corners (the visible looked rotated first then it’s adjusted). Might have been 3.34 or so, not quite sure.
-
I bombed the H2 airbase for the second time and it’s the same result, that airfield doesn’t get destroyed at all.
-
H2 airbase - This is a standard Airbase 01_19/15_33 (CT 880)
Try to send bombers there in 2D mode. Perhaps they will be able to disable this airfield.
-
sorry what is 2D mode?
-
Just let the campaign run without commiting to fly,
Task bombers to take out airfield, then run campaign without commiting. Then see if they can do it. -
sorry what is 2D mode?
2D - Map mode.
It also displays the status of the airfield.
The number of active Runway is indicated.
If Runway = 0, then the airfield is not functioning (under repair).PS. Below in the picture you can see Runways = 2

Another matter, another question, dear Goro…
sorry for this and please be patient once more with me: in Desert Storm campaign, I never happened to be not able and add a new package - the error message was always the same: no flight available, of any kind of craft.
And I’m wondering why, due to the fact it’s my very first time in a campaign.
Please answer me if and only you would have a bit of free time (what is it?), I want to be crystal clear about it.
With best regards.

Maybe all the planes in the squadron are already engaged in the mission. This happens at different times during the course of the campaign. Try assigning planes from other squadrons.

Theater update to version 4-35-2, links on the first page.
The territory of Iran has been slightly expanded along the southern coast. Added cities, oil depots, factories, power plants, army bases, air bases. Some objects, planes and textures have been updated.
Updated trigger for Iran-Iraq campaign. F-16a has also been added to Iran. The installation path of the theater has been changed.
The line now looks like this:Add-On Mideast128\Terrdata\theaterdefinition\Mideast128.tdf
-
now we really need F-16A’s cockpit
-
nice to Kuwait towers is now 3D, looks pretty nice. KU International airport need to be parallel runways not as it is now. Also, some runways flicker too much.
