Read it again. You have to click on the location of the original F4 executable (or the location of the original Falcon 4.0 CD.) You do not need to install Falcon 4.0, just have the disc in your drive.
You should also download the two updates as well if you’re doing a fresh install. They can be extracted into the same install folder before you click on Setup.exe

Im confused…
A link said install it now, and I only have that file… never played the game before… -
You need at least two things to install BMS:
1> The BMS installer you downloaded, and
2> An original Falcon 4.0 CD. The CD can be in your drive, mounted virtually, or the contents copied to a separate folder on your hard driver. You do not need to have Falcon 4.0 installed.Optional: Update #1 and Update #2 downloaded and extracted to the BMS setup folder.
If you don’t have #2, you cannot proceed.

Okay, fresh start, just correct me if Im wrong. Installed the link, now I have BSM Falcon 4 with : Data, Setup.exe, unrar.dll
Where to place that folder? that entire folder? I have it on my desktop
after that, I download update 1 and 2, update them, and place them inside that folder?

The location of that install folder doesn’t really matter, so on your desktop is fine for now. I would suggest you put it somewhere else where you won’t delete it, as you will need the whole install folder later to install future updates. The updates do not update the installed game folder on their own, they use the original installer Setup.exe to do that each time an update comes out.
When you execute Update 1 and Update 2, it will ask for the location of the setup folder (which right now is on your desktop) – point it there to extract each update into that folder.
After executing the updates, then run Setup.exe to install BMS (the updates will be included in the installation.)

Installation folder for Falcon BMS must be:
C:\Falcon BMS 4.32 Setupthere is a torrent that unzipping it results to a folder named:
C:\Falcon_BMS_4.32_SetupThe difference are the underscore lines. Nevertheless this difference doesn’t let u install the updates. So make sure your install folder name is:
C:\Falcon BMS 4.32 Setup
So heads up guys.

Hi all. I’m having a problem with unzipping the executable from the torrent I’m pretty sure. I download the Full Installer U1-U6 to my pc. Windows 8.1 if that helps. It’s there in my download file as a compressed file with a size of 18kb. When I use the extract that comes with windows I get this internet explorer file, that opens to show a whole bunch of what looks like gibberish to me.
I looked on how to unzip files from the internet and micosoft’s site walked me through exactly what I explained above. There seems to be nothing in the file or I’m missing something.Any thoughts?

oh. you’re looking at the torrent file. go get a .torrent client, i use qbittorrent. then open that file with qbittorrent, which will download the actual installer.
i think i just ran into a guy who’s never used a torrent before
what universe am i in
please send help

Thanks!!! I’ll give it a try. And you are spot on, I’m gonna have to learn about torrents.

not much to know. it’s a distributed download
it goes like this:
someone hosts the tracker, the tracker keeps track of the swarm, when a new person connects to the swarm he sends out “i have no copy of this, please give” the swarm responds by sending tiny pieces of the file. your client keeps track of what goes where and gradually assembles the file. when it receives every piece, it says “thanks” and then goes into a seeding mode where it prepares to send pieces of the file to others, helping anybody new.
think of it as downloading from 100 servers piecemeal, instead of one. saves alot of bandwidth for whoever’s providing the file. sharing is caring.
