…there’s a morning drive time radio show here where they play a game called “Florida, or anywhere else?”. I’m thinking this is Florida!

Radium, any update on this project? It was looking very good. Hoping it’s not abandoned.

Hello Radium.
First of all, thank you very much for your efforts in this beautiful project.
I have been following your project impatiently for a long time. What is the final state of your project, when will we be able to fly with this perfect plane, do you plan to build the cockpits … We would be very pleased if you could inform.
Best regards.

Hello,
my future is rather unsure as a 3D dev these days.
Please do not expect too much.
Cheers,

Hi, Radium

Excuse me, the F/E/A-18E/F item is suspend or died?

kouzi

…no RL Naval Aviator refers to any model Hornet as a “bug”. I’ve been hanging around them for over 30 years and they just flat don’t do that. “Bug” is something that (civilian) commercial actors came up with to keep the lawyers off their backs.

@Stevie Hee hee…

You just addressed a post from, like, 2 years ago…! I salute your unwavering doggedness…!

I think it came from the Tomcat/Hornet rivalry. There’s even a patch for it:

https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/I~0AAOSwulde2Rqa/s-l400.jpg

@frixon28 - nope. Tomcats were still flying when I started working on Hornets, and that was a LOOONG time ago. It’s purely a thing started by gaming and model companies after parent Companies started suing over use of aircraft and model licensing of the use of names and advertising.

“Bug” has zero to no usage within US Navy parlance that I have ever encountered from any Hornet driver of Naval Officer. Ever.

Light civil airplanes, however, ARE referred to as “bug smashers”.
