Information regarding Mk20D in CCRP
-
Hi y’all. I mostly use Mk20Ds to hit vehicle columns in BMS in CCIP mode. In last two days i tried using CCRP to avoid crotale threat at 16000feet altitude. the settings of bombs were 0.55 second arming delay and 2500-1500 feet BA. But when the bomb release que hit and i tried to release bombs, it never does so.
So i want to know should my altitude be lower than 16000feeet or there are different BA setting for different altitude?Thanks in advance

@MAKAROVE
You should also give us your speed: if it was lower than 360/380 KCAS, it could be a reason of the problem -
@MAKAROVE
After a confirmation test, I think that it was probably an insufficient speed which is the cause of the non release of the ammunition./MK20D.
Test at 24,000 feet, 400 knots and all is OK… but it like to be really high to be precise. -
@Rouge1512 thats it. i was at 295-305 knots

@Rouge1512
Too high… to be even precise.
Mk-20 are dumb (no wind correction, no guidance) … and you are dropping them from 8km !!! of height…It is like you drop them on Eiffel and hit Notredamme
Yes, CCRP and speed! … I was havig that problem, bombs just didn’t want to leave the plane … then I remembered there may be speed limitation.
So, YES some (all?) A2G weapons have speed-limit , min / max.
Cheers
