It’s getting really good !!!
I suggest your structure lines to be less strong and you could also I use pseudo bump map technics by creating a negative structure line (white) and shifting it one pixel up/right or as you want.
You can then configure this structure line layer as overlay and you will have some transparency and it will look realistic !

@Radium If I fade the panels lines I lose the rivets. I will have to redo the rivets on a separate layer then I can make the panels lines less pronounced. I should have been more careful. Anyway I will get it somehow right.
-
Not necessarily. I always use the same treatment for lines and rivets. If you use pseudo bump map it works fine !

Redid the rivets and pannels, pannels are more subtle and rivets more visible. I tried the technique suggested by Radium and could not get a nice result, I need to work on it.

Have to add this pod as well, next up.

@luke777
Humble suggestion: desert storm skin… -
yes please
-
Just threw in the color
-
@luke777
excellent!
how about adding boarding ladder? -
@ccc1tw: I gotta say that I disagree, IMHO, just useless polys (polies?
not sure how that one goes)… -
@parislord
consider Luke’s model is already a hi-poly, just adding few polys…and make it really cool.

I see some online fun with this aircraft …

@luke777 Hi Luke !
Nice desert storm livery !
I suggest that your basic diffuse layer is a bit too red…
I would recommend to remove a little bit some red !
Do not also over work your structure lines, as they can’t be really seen from a close distance :
If you want, I can also do a Vray layer to get this kind of static HDR effet :
Best regards,

@Radium I just added the color to show how it would look in desert camo, no fine tuning. I will take you up un the Vray layer. Just let me finish the license plates and bundle all together. Thanks a lot for the support.

Quick test of the license plates

@luke777 Really good job Luke! Like the new HDR looks

Hello Luke,
Have you done the bomb bay ?
Everything is now possible since code support was done for my J-20
Best regards,
Radium
-
@Radium I haven’t, I will in a future upgrade of the model. I am not sure the bomb bay was ever used operationally. Possibly used to carry additional fuel. Just a guess. F105 did that. Maybe someone can confirm.
