Saitek X-52PRO Profile UPDATED 3-30-12
-
I’ve been using this profile for a few weeks now and it has saved me an awful lot of time.
Last night I came across an issue with the NWS/Missile Step setup. The “Pinky + Fire B” combination when on the ground works great and toggles NWS no problem but when I used it in the air for A-G using Mavericks it seems to be doing missile step but its is also changing the range on the MFD which if I undertsnad correctly is the “Fire B” on its own.
I just wondered if you had come across this or whether I’ve messed something up or mis-understood something along the way.

Hi Harddeck,
A great profile. Save me a lot of time and trouble. Just a quick question. If I want to switch up POV1(DMS) with POV2(TMS), anyway possible to do that? I just want to bring TMS up/down closer to my thumb. Should I do it ingame setup or in Saitek’s profile editor?
Once again, many thanks for sharing the profile.

where is the button to activate whatever countermeasure program you are on?

I have problem when i load your profile in profile editor im geting BS config….anyone got idea whay?

Hey Hard~Deck, Thanks for the profile. Having a few issues and was wondering if you could shed some light on them. First, my C button does not activate Chaff/Flare but instead it toggles CAT I/III switch. Next, my mini stick will not move the cursor down - only side to side and up. Didn’t know if anyone else had this same issue or if I loaded something wrong. Thanks again for the work on making this profile.

edit:
ok removed my problems as they were entirely on my part.
your profile made my freash and new journey into BMS allot easier keep up the good work

Anyone knows how to make the POV1 hat (used for DMS) for looking around the cockpit? I don’t have TIR and POV1 would be handy as Pinky switch+POV1 to be able to look around…

Excuse me, but did not quite understand the procedures.
What folder should I put the two files?
BMS HD X52PRO.pr0
BMS HD.key -

If you look into the Saitek Profiler app, you’ll se the POVs aren’t defined there - that means they’re in the game. So go into the game, click the command you want to change (ex DMS Up) and click the new joystick button you want to remap (ex the current TMS Up).

It looks ok to me, why are you saying there are problems?

I’m not at my gaming rig right now, but you should be able to define them from the Saitek Profiler. From the top of my head: make sure you’re in the programming tab, right click POV1, choose 4/8 way, right click again and choose buttons, and define each POV direction the looking-around commands (look into the documentation, I don’t know them by heart). Don’t forget to save, close and exit the profiler, restart the profiler and make sure the right profile is active. Last but no least, if you have troubles with it, make sure to clear the binding for POV1, in the game controller setup screen.

BMS HD X52PRO.pr0
BMS HD.keyThe *.pr0 file belongs in the saitek profiles directory: On XP, this is located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents. On Vista, it’s in C:\Users\Public\Documents, and Windows 7 the folder is located in your Documents Library. After you pasted the file, load the saitek profiler, right click it’s icon in the tray, choose the profile from the list to activate it.
The *.key file belongs in the Falcon 4 BMS directory - I’m not in front of the pc and I don’t remember the directory tree structure, but look for a folder containing the BMS.key file and paste BMS HD.key there. Then load the game, go to setup -> controller click load and load BMS HD.key. Hit Apply, OK, and you should be good.
If needed, remember to config the analog x/y rotary axes of the throttle (from inside the game) using the screenshots from Harddeck’s first posts as guidance.

That worked, thx!

Hey, I am having trouble with Hard~Deck’s X-52 Pro profile. I can’t get the “C” button to deploy flare-chaff, it toggles CAT I-III. I can’t activate NWS via Pinky + Fire B button as indicated by his profile setup guide. I haven’t found anything else so far. Wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions that could help me with this. Thanks!!!

Had the same problem at first. Make sure both the .pr0file has been loaded on the stick & throttle and also make sure you’ve loaded the .key file in Falcon configuration.

Hi guys,
X52 pro is on his way!
A question i have so far:
I’m not using TrackIR, but I understand that the profile is set for it.
I would like to try this profile… is it still possible or do I have to change some bindings, like the header to look around?Thank you in advance.

Same here. X52Pro but no TIR (yet). I remapped the DMS hat switch to pan viewpoint when holding the shift button.

Running into a major issue here… I have setup everything exactly as you have it, yet my radar tilt and range won’t work, nor will my ministick slew my radar cursor… I’ve tried everything I can think of, please let me know if you have any suggestions!
EDIT: My speed brakes don’t work either…

Have you setup The advanced stuff too, like below? And loaded The correct keyfile too?
