Solved Pilot disappeared
-
The other day I suddenly realized my pilot legs were gone. And using the keybind [Alt-C] + P doesn’t seem to be working anymore. That’s a problem because I need the legs for my WDP kneeboards in flight.
Anyone else had this problem?[EDIT] I think it could well have something to do with my Weapon Delivery Planner, because suddenly I’m also getting an error message when I want to save my kneeboards: “Unhandled exception has occured in your application. Parameter is not valid”

Issue was that the kneeboard textures had somehow become corrupt, probably after saving them in WDP for a mission. With the kneeboard textures unable to load, it just didn’t load the pilot entirely.

@Doc0301
In the graphics setup, there is a checkbox “Show pilot model”… give it a try if it makes a difference.Keep in mind that not every aircraft model does have a pilot model. Did you change your aircraft?
DId you do any updates recently (WDP)?

@Amadeus75 “Pilot model” in graphics setup is checked. Tried it with different F-16 types (Block 52 and MLU). No legs. And no, no recent updates. One day everything worked perfectly and the other the legs were gone…

@Doc0301 not sure … I believe the green checkbox in 2D just controls the default state … [alt+C][P] should toggle it, either way.

I had this issue - what HOTAS do you use? I have an X65f and found by accident that one of the buttons was not releasing properly thus sending a constant key command that stopped the legs appearing.
Disconnect you HOTAS and start her up to see if you get your legs back. If that don’t work unplug anything that could be sending a spurious key command like your mouse or supplementary key pad …

Would you happen to be using Alternative Launcher? I think there’s an option there to switch the pilot model on and off too.
-
@Ricky No, no Alternative Launcher
-
@Ironman53rd I use the Warthog stick and the Cougar throtlle

@Doc0301
disconnect them - restart - check legs. -
