Anyone used the CFF Explorer to adjust the Falcon BMS header to use more than 2 GB memory?..…I do it every install, not that sure if it makes a big difference but I’m certain it does.

You’re using 64bit I presume? I’ve never had BMS use more than 800mb so that 4gb switch is useless.

I’m on WinXP with 3.37GB of RAM (don’t know where the other 0.63GB went) and a crappy integrated graphics “card”. I got maybe 1-2fps increase in the cockpit according to FRAPS.

It’s utterly pointless to do what this topic syas. For Visual Studio users, there’s editbin /largeaddressaware which caps to 3 GB. But BMS uses so little RAM (not VRAM), that it doesn’t matter, really.

One way to test it too is flying the first tutorial “Rampstart”, a lot of aircraft in the same base at the same time, ideal for RAM test.
Is offical for me, work really better right now.
Thx again RPGRegards

@RPG:
well it seems to work for me……so I guess if it works for you then use it!, also its never had any negative effect on my install so it will not pork your install…so…why not!:D
But BMS uses 600 MB of RAM, so increasing this from 2 to 3 GB is a waste of time.
