Online Squadron Collection v2 is out

it is true that when server enters 3d it is more stable. you said
We have realize that we can use this program as here exposed:
- Main server with BMS running in 2D mode with AIPSY+SQSERVER
- The human awacs has open IVC Client + F4AWACS
- every pilot (Clients) run ONLY Validator

…you need to have the BMS server in 3D, you can have BMS running on another computer (of course BMS on this computer must be connected to the BMS server) and run AISPY on this computer as well.REFINING YOUR STEPS ACORDING TO MONSTERS INSTRUCTIONS
1)server goes to 3d world for stability and runs just the SQSERVER(no aispy here)
2) The human awacs has open IVC Client + F4AWACS[and opens bms in 2d AND AISPY connected to main server and SQSERVER]
3) every pilot (Clients) run ONLY Validator -
Thank you Condor, that appears to be much more affordable….we will try it!
-
Thank you monster for your gorgeous program.
I am testing this util with my squadron and have a problem with F4AWACS.
When I connect as AWACS and most of AI displayed near Bulls eye but player showed correctly.
I tested to move bulls eye to different position and AI still followed it.And some of AI are showed above the map.
Any suggestion please?

Thanks duria,
can you please edit the file F4AWACS.ini and set the value LOG=0 to LOG=1. A file called F4AWACSLog.txt will be created when you run the program. Run it a little while showing the problem you have and send me this log file to investigate further.
My email is sakgiok (at) hotmail (dot) com

Well,
we have tested as you suggest and result was:- Main Server BMS in 2D + SQSERVER + AISPY (set to BOTH)
- F4AWACS (set to BOTH) + BMS in 2D + IVC Client
- every pilot with validator
The program was good for communications, but in the map we encounter some trouble.
We have noticed something strange behaviour, in many cases blue change to red and red change to blu. Moreover we noticed that in the windows “Clients” appears numbers of flight that were not set during the game, as many times Chalis_1 (9 times). This is very strange!
Here I post some pics for your knowledge:This Pic show red become blu and blu becom red:
The same pic, but looking throug 2D map of bms the same plane of the above pic are not blu, but red:
At this time we need, if you can, your opinion. May be we have made something wrong, but we don’t know where

I think, it’s because Asian language windows system and 2 byte font … hmmmm -
@tdr:
- Main Server BMS in 2D + SQSERVER + AISPY (set to BOTH)
- F4AWACS (set to BOTH) + BMS in 2D + IVC Client
- every pilot with validator
on the awacs client do you run aispy??
it might double the ai contactsalso try
- main server in 3D + sq server ONLY
2)F4AWACS + AISPY + bms 2D
in this way you have only one instance of BMS in 2d(with AI data availiable) and maybe you will solve the problem(many chalis_1 for example)
that is all i can think of…note that i am only a user… of OSC monster is the one who coded the software and knows how exactly it works
@piaf
there is built in support for programs that come to difrent languages… give it a try… -
This post is deleted! -
Thank you Condor, we will try again…
-
@tdr
You only need one AISPY + BMS on 2D per channel (or one set to BOTH). If you have more AISPY+BMS(2d) running and set on the same channel (or both) you’ll get double info. Even from a single AISPY you can get double contacts if that’s what is in Falcon’s memory, I can’t help it.About changing ID, I said before, AI ID is just for reference. The program will send whatever it is reading from the memory. The ID process is done by examining the callsign of the contact and it’s not accurate (might be changing from time to time).
@Piaf
that’s a good guess, I have the log files (thanks duria) and I’ll try to figure it out by examining them. It’s not a display problem though since (from a first look) the data that SQSERVER is sending are a little odd. -
Thank you Monster for your patience, we have done the try as explain before you replay, but no way. We’ve got the same results and the configuration was as exposed by Condor.
But let me explain what I was understand.At this point I am not be able to understand the logic of the program.
You say that we need only one AISPY, set to both in the main server where is running BMS in 2D.
This i s the first step.
But what colour is necessary to avoid the double data on the map if every faction (red and blue) open F4AWACS (BOTH, RED, BLUE)??? My opinion is that every one has to open his colour at which it hold, is it right?Thank you again and if you could verify our setting you can write me at “uateruain (στο) yahoo (dot) it” (the underline have to be removed)
Thank
PS.
sorry another question: what colour we have to set when we connect with validator?? -
Monster…
Finally, my squadron has found the reason why AIs were showed around bulls eye. That was format problem.
As Piaf said my squad use Korean version Win7 and format was Korean in Region and Language section and when this format changed to English……yeah~~~
It works correctly.
Thank you monster.

@duria
Great news, glad it was only that.@tdr
Ok let me suggest a setup that might workServer computer:
BMS Server that goes in 3D as you usual do.
SQSERVER.Pilot Computers:
VALIDATOR connecting as BLUE or RED according the side they fly in BMS.BLUE GCI:
AISPY connected to SQSERVER as BLUE.
BMS (preferably in window mode) connected to BMS server to the BLUE side of the running TE and staying on the map (2D). Don’t check IVC when connected.
IVC Client with “Force Local Control” checked.
F4AWACS connected as BLUE.RED GCI:
AISPY connected to SQSERVER as RED.
BMS (preferably in window mode) connected to BMS server to the RED side of the running TE and staying on the map (2D). Don’t check IVC when connected.
IVC Client with “Force Local Control” checked.
F4AWACS connected as RED.AISPY only needs to be run once for each side (RED or BLUE). So if you need another F4AWACS for e.g. BLUE, just run only F4AWACS connected to BLUE and IVC (so no BMS and AISPY for the extra F4AWACS).
IVC is needed of course if you use IVC for comms, otherwise you don’t need to run it.

Thank you Monster, we will make a rapid test.

Monster,
I’m having similar issues in that when I’m testing F4AWACS on my LAN, I can only see client aircraft with no AI aircraft displayed. I’m using 2.0.2, default ports, all of which have been checked to match.
Here is my setup:
@Server:
BMS (Server, 3D)
SQServer
Validator (connect to 127.0.0.1)@Client:
BMS (Client, Windowed, 2D, active flight selected in ATO window)
AISpy (connect to Server, All)
F4AWACS (connect to Server, All)In this configuration, only my player ship displays in F4AWACS; the AI aircraft on the 2D screen do not display at all. When allowing the Test Plot with AISpy, the plot displays properly in F4AWACS (both as friendly and bogie as checked). “C” light is green in F4AWACS, and both Connection and BMS lights are green in AISpy.
I have also tried this configuration with validator installed on the client, even though this shouldn’t be necessary. Same result.
Regards,
-
@Home Fries
Can you try with both AISPY and F4AWACS in BLUE channel?
-
Thanks for the quick reply, Monster.
I got the same results with the blue channel. Here are the screenshots from my Client:
Here’s the 2D map from Falcon, with the active flight selected. You’ll notice a red contact and two orange contacts, as well as my own flight (the blue contact).
Here is the image from F4AWACS. You’ll just notice my aircraft and the imported objectives, as well as the good connection icon.
Finally, here’s AISpy:
Hope this helps.
-
Thx Monster.
I love this Program!
-
So it doesn’t seem to be a connection issue, rather an issue with Falcon discovery and memory reading. I’ll try to release a version of AISPY capable of storing debugging info as soon as possible, to see what exactly is going on.
-
Sounds good. I’ll be happy to test anything required.
