New free MFD/ICP app to control Falcon BMS from touch devices
-
@white_fang think you so much for the help. I really appreciate the information. I was pretty concerned about using the tablet since it was out of its factory support window. Thanks again.
-
@kungfoo Hello, I am a very happy user with your application, unfortunately I have not been able to get it to work with 4.37… does it need to be updated somehow?
Thank you for your work, it is of high value to me. Regards mate
Edit : for Android -
Works OK here. Can you explain the problem?
-
@CriticalMass I’ll have to work more conscientiously perhaps. Basically I start the server, turn on and start the App on the tablet, start falcon… And nothing… xD
I perform the same procedure as in 4.36
But if it works for you then I have the problem, I’m doing something wrong. Thank you, I’ll try again later. -
@Apolo27 You need to enable rtt export, might be your issue
-
@Apolo27 Do you get stuck on the ‘connecting’ screen? Or does it simply not show the mfds after connecting?
If the latter is the case, enable rrt exports in your user cfg. -
@kungfoo That is the case, the tablet does not show the image of the MFDs, it works if I press the buttons, even if it does not have an image
Thank you very much for your answer, I will follow your advice. And again thank you for your work on this application. i really love it
Regards mate -

An update on iOS availability of the app: I’ve worked with the publisher of the app (they’re enabling it to be freely available on the app store) to make the app available again.
The app is re-published as version
1.3.2
for iOS, changes: a new icon. -
@kungfoo Thanks a lot. And the new icon is right on.

This post is deleted! -
@kungfoo I don’t get a connection after putting in my fixed IP address and refreshing at 30.
-
@jc1 - are you running the server?
- are you sure the ip is correct?
- did you allow the server process in Windows firewall when promted?
- did you allow the app to connect to the network in ios?
-
@kungfoo The answer to all the questions except the third one is yes. My answer to the third question is: I don’t get any Windows firewall prompts.
My ip address from ipconfg is: 10.0.0.219
This is what happens when I run the falcon-bms-control-server.exe
I typed in my server address in your Apple app Server IP box.
Next is a screen shot from my iPhone after clicking on your Apple app icon:
It just hangs there.
What’s odd is that the first 2 times I ran the control program and IOS it worked fine. -

Yes it can, bloody thing sometimes doesn’t trigger for incoming connections. Had same problem year or two back.
Just go to advanced firewall control panel and setup connection manually to “allow” for the server program (exe). - there are guides on google , its a bit tricky but not hard. You need “incoming” not outgoing.

@white_fang I don’t use Windows Defender because I use Norton 360, and Norton 360 is set up to allow FalconBMSUniversalServer. Norton 360 allows it.
@kungfoo Here is another screenshot that is a follow up to https://forum.falcon-bms.com/post/365192

Well… then it is Norton… or something other. You can disable ALL firewalls on computer, for 5 mins , just for test. - as soon you pause/turn off Norton, Defender might kick in … so need to disable all and Windows Firewall. Then try to connect.
Other then that, you could do a packet/connection tracer… eg. Wireshark or something simpler , just to see there is connection attempt at all. Since you know source/target ip , it would be easy to filter out transport with Wireshark
just my 2 kopeyke
Good luck -
@white_fang I already tried Norton off and couldn’t connect. I leave Norton on because FalonBMSUniveralServer is listed in Norton as an allowed program that Norton should not block. Don’t know anything about packet/connection tracer and I’m not familiar with Wirshark or something similar.
-
@jc1 It has to be something special about your setup or network. Are you sure that your router is not blocking connections from the wireless network into the wired network (sometimes configurable as
wireless protection
? Do you know the ip range of the devices on the wireless network, because I expect they are different subnets. -
@kungfoo I wish I could talk more about computer technology but I’m limited. I do know that my system blocks wi-fi from use when it’s using ethernet. I always run on ethernet.
