You should have said, however in that case the Bin folder should look like this with a DataAutoUpdate file;
Perhaps yours is missing? The CPDAutoUpdate is for the CPD Only profile and wont work with the full profile.

@BVT_9 Try EZBoards - it replaces the 7982.dds file so that you can view the briefing on the cockpit kneeboards.
I could possibly look into having the profile do that, it already generates the briefing kneeboards so would just need to convert to dds.
@linknet both EZBoards and the now 4.37 profile show the briefings perfectly in the 3D pit, but for me, not in the profile. Maybe because I changed the “Falcon BMS Images” folder name to “Falcon BMS”?
-
@BVT_9 Not maybe but definitely! The profile looks in “Falcon BMS Images” for the Kneeboard images.
-
@linknet Thx! That worked! *kinda feel stupid
-
Is there a problem with the download?
It is stuck at this point at Mediafire and “continue” button just restarts the timer to allocate a new “download key”, but never do.
-
@nivam
Seems like MediaFire screwed it up.Uploaded it again, the link should work now.

@linknet The Briefing.txt gets updated correctly. The Pilot Roster etc are not displayed correctly when I press the DED. They show the data of some other TE. Hope this helps in troubleshooting. Auto_Left.png and Auto_Right.png do not get updated.
@linknet Problem solved: AutoPadsUpdate.exe was blocked by Windows Ransomware Protection. I added the EXE and now it works as designed.

Well found. I’ll include a separate utility to unblock all of the files in C:\Bin in the next profile version since this is a recurrent problem.

Ice’s Falcon BMS Profile Updated to 4.37-02
Updated 20 January 2023:
The first post has been updated with the latest version.
Please note the requirement for BMS Falcon 4.37 and Helios Version 1.6.5800.0 or later.
Important: After installation run C:\Bin\UnblockFiles.exe to unblock all files.- Updated for BMS Falcon 4.37 and compatible with Helios version 1.6.5800.0 or later. Note: Not compatible with Helios earlier versions.
- Added a built in Web Server to allow the KneePads to be viewed in a web browser on any device connected to the local network.
- Added an UnblockFiles.exe utility to the C:\Bin folder to be run after first installation of the profile.
- This will unblock any files that have been blocked by the operating system.
- Updated the Web Page to show contents and feature instead of the change log.
- The change log is available as always in the download profile setup folder.
- Requires “g_bExportRTTTextures 1” to be added to the “Falcon BMS User.cfg” file found in \User\Config.
- Requires “set g_nKnobAccelerationDelta 0” to be added to the “Falcon BMS User.cfg” file found in \User\Config.
-
@linknet when I load up the profile, it defaults to 4.36 and I cannot get it to get past this screen (reloading the profile from new, restarting my machine)
-
@CriticalMass
Can you open the profile in the Profile Editor and post a screenshot of the Helios Interface which is installed in the profile:If it doesn’t exist in the profile don’t try reinstalling it since that won’t work.
-
Thanks for the new version!
I did a fresh install both for Falcon BMS 4.37 and the Profile 4.37-02, but some previous problems are still present:
Fuel gauge is still not corresponding to the actual model from TE 01-03, and I still got my old enlarged HUD image floating inside the DED and both MFDs on ILS approaches, with the proper ILS frequency and course setup and only this time it seemed to reset itself back to normal after a while, and in the mean time some center keys in the UFC stopped working like I can no longer click number 3 or 6.
Are there any residual setup file I need to remove to clear this malfunction? Seems like I’m the only one suffering from this enlarged floating HUD problem… -
@jacqueslees
The problems aren’t related to any residual setup file.I think that both the Fuel Gauge and the incorrect DED and MFD images are a Helios issue and not a profile fault. It probably all relates to the aircraft type not being updated in Helios. I suggest reopening this Helios issue:
https://github.com/HeliosVirtualCockpit/Helios/issues/598The aircraft in TE 01-03 is a F-16DM-52.
Download and run this simple profile to determine if the aircraft type is being correctly reported by Helios. This is used to set the fuel gauge.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/dhbx2kd2ipk1x0k/Aircraft+Name.hpf/fileFor the UFC keys not working download this https://www.mediafire.com/file/ew1r8m4sawacwl5/EventTester.exe/file and run this together with just the profile. Select the UFC keys 3 then 6 and see if the output is the same as the image below.
If that looks OK then run BMS alone and try entering those keys from the keyboard, that is Shift-Numpad3 and Shift-Numpad6.

@linknet,
Can you check the contents of the latest 4.37-02 zip file on Mediafire? It’s missing the UnblockFiles.exe and the BMS-Auto.key (only contains the BMS-CPD Addon.key). Not sure if there are any other files that are missing, but it doesn’t look right!
(I’m using the Helios Full Profile Setup version.) -
@Dan
That’s strange, I’ve just downloaded it and all of the files are included. Ran a binary comparison of all of the files and everything checks out. Try downloading again, maybe something got corrupted during the download. -
Dear Linknet,
Tnx again for your update profile 4.37.2.
I am using your Ice’s Falcon BMS 4.37 profile.In Korea everything works very good, but in Balkan and Israel the correct chart is not selected/updated at my place. It stays on the Korean chart. (CPD and Chart).
(My /bin folder is on the C drive and BMS is installed on my D drive.)
I change the theater from the alternative launcher menu.How do you detect the correct theater?
Ps. : the updated profile from 4.37.2 is named on the screen as 4.37.1
Thx again for sharing your work, it makes flying the Falcon so more intuitive using a second screen.
-
After much fiddling (I found I had two versions of Helios running…don’t know), I uninstalled both and install the latest, again.
I still got the error! I have 4.36 and 4.37 installed and the profile selects 4.36 - I changed this to 4.37 saved immediately and got a save error, tried again and it saved OK.
Now I get quite a lot of errors when saving the profile. Basically, I’m using your profile to create an ICP only screen; so when I make a change and then save I would say 5 times out of 10 I get an error - I meant to post an image but it got late.
-
@Falcon316
OK, thanks, forgot to change the on screen name to 4.37-02.The theatre is detected by reading this registry key:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Benchmark Sims\Falcon BMS 4.37\curTheater
Maybe the Alternative Launcher isn’t changing the registry key, perhaps you could check and let me know. The location of BMS shouldn’t be a problem. Try changing the theatre from BMS.

@linknet ,
Looks like it was a corrupted download. Tried it again and everything came through just fine.
Congratulations on a very fine touchscreen profile for BMS.
I absolutely love it!
