This project is awesome.
And it’s a lot of fun to follow the work as well.
Almost to fun for it to be released, but dam it I can’t wait to be able to use this.Thank you for all the effort you’re putting into this!

I love to see someone who seriously knows their stuff modding - keep it up Pepe!

I am trying to think of something to say……something appropriate…but the right words escape me.
Just pure awesomeness?
Imagine…f18, b52, f14, flare…all in a lovely one click falcon update
Amazing.

Time for a motivational bump:
@ 2:18 you can see the pilot using the mfd’s

Wow…nice vid! Might try to contact the guy for the original footage for some in cockpit sounds…we’ll see…he is quite active on the YouTube comments…
Otherwise…zero work this weekend on the pit…no progress…

Hey mate, you’re doing great work! You deserve personal time, don’t let a little rest on the weekends get you down.
-
Mykinge, don’t take it as an obligation. You are making this pit for fun in your free time and that’s why you are doing so great results. Keep it up!
Glad this video is in help

D version of the cat was equipped with the martin baker mk 14, with no overhead handles!!
Regards,
Pepe
Could you put both?
That’s something Iove in the cat for ages.
Anyway, that handle close to the legs, is it that big in size? Never noticed it that way. -
Maybe a bit too big but not far of IMO. Perspective also makes it look bigger I think.
Overhead handles would only be extra polys so sorry mate!:D -

Overhead handles would only be extra polys so sorry mate!:DPssst… do some re-arrangement - kind of BMS version -> only over head handles
-
The pit is looking absolutely phenominal Mykinge. Keep up the excellent work. Amazing work!

butbutbut……overhand handles are so difficult to reach when falling under high G’s

Yep, I know… and much probably why it was moved next to the stick.
BUT it’s a trademark of that aircraft. I just love to see them there… without them, feels like something missing… -
another attempted motivational video, just in case you haven’t seen it yet:
around 7:30 they talk about the f-14 and at 8:28 you get to see footage of the backseat tid (probably beyond scope, but still interesting). there was a video i saw a while ago that was a cursory review of each instrument cluster in the f-14d, but i can’t seem to find it anymoreanyways, i hope you’re doing well, and having fun.

No, noting motivating in this movie.
CAT lovers hate hornets (well talking for myself - cof, cof… that piece of flying junk) -

CAT lovers hate hornets (well talking for myself - cof, cof… that piece of flying junk)LOL! So true! :uham:
Still, nice educational video about how those bugs came to infest our carriers
-
Skip the Hornet part and watch the F-5 docu…that’s IMHO America’s most classy and iconic plane next to the F-86, F-104, F-15 and F-16.
The F-104 and F-15 (T-38 Talon) where literally two of the 3 first fighter jets I read about as child.
Cheers -
as child.
CheersYou read them last week??:uham:
Hey Thorsten whats up, how’s it hanging?? LOL
You should come on to the 420th’s TS some time and BS. If you want the info lemme know.

True! Not very motivating but interesting nonetheless with a great overview of the development over the years, thanks for sharing. I personally didn’t know of the existence of the YF-17 Cobra. And its also true that generally Cat lovers don´t really like the F-18 (also true in my case) I love the looks of the T-38 talon and I still don´t understand how the F-104 Starfighter manages to fly, with those tiny wings and fat body…pure power is the answer I guess!
Little progress to show I´m afraid…been keeping my self away from the computer laterly to rest a little bit. But I do bring one of the last panels I still need to map :woohoo: , the Control Surfaces Indicator Panel. I have a few questions for all the aviation savyys out there, as I am not sure what it really shows. First of all I don’t understand what the scale on the left is for, because surfaces that can go up and down are 4, 2 ailerons and 2 vertical stabilizers. Do you think that it would show only the left and right vertical stabilizers because they cannot be seen by the pilot? Makes sense right?
The second questions is the rudder scale, as it has too needles its clear its for each rudder but on the NATOPS image it shows both rudders moving outwards (or inwards) so each moves in a different direction? Is this even possible? I always thought they would move parallel to the other and never “against”. What do you think?
